Everyone knows that green tractors are overpriced. You can get the same hunt, I mean work done from a blue tractor at substantially lower day rates, I mean purchase price.

That is the conventional wisdom, which I believed, until I started negotiating with a Deere dealer and found out it is not necessarily true!

Yup, trying to trade off a couple red CIH tractors is what got me to go seriously green.... JD deal was better. CIH dealer would not show much trade value on his own brand.

As for blue, sign on door says open at 8, but they often don't open until 8:30. Then partsman growls at you. Deere is open at 7:30, says good morning and offers coffee! Makes a difference if your green and sunny or just feeling blue all day

What are thought on kids? My 9 and 11 year old are going to come the DSC with me (and I think my Dad). I’d love to come, but can’t really leave them in a hotel. They are good kids, not loud and crazy. A “No” won’t hurt my feelings.
