I have the following .416 Rigby ammo -
8 boxes Barnes TSX
6 boxes Barnes solids
3 boxes of Swift A-Frames
2 boxes of Woodleigh solids with the funny cap
1 box of Federal Trophy Bonded Bear Claws.
40 rounds of TSX reloads for practice

I will go to Africa again and shoot this caliber.
Which do you like and why??

Barnes TSX, SAF's & TBBC's for nearly everything. Barnes solids and Woodleigh Hydros for elephant, the T10 and whenever the PH tells you to load solids. For a two-week to 10-day safari, I'd budget for 30 expanding & 10 solids...and you're likely to come back with most of it.

My personal preference is the Barnes TSX and Woodleigh Hydro but all of the ones you have are top shelf.

Send me one box of each and I will independently test them and get back to you!! Couldn’t resist!
Personally I like the A-frames because they group the best in my .416.

There isn't a cull in the lot so go hunt and have fun.

Hard to beat the A frames, lots of people like the TSX, they will take some strange paths at time's, plus I don't like scrubbing copper out of my barrel, send the 14 boxes of Barnes down the road and you have plenty for the future.

Swift A-Frames & Barnes Flat Nose Solids are what I just took around 13 animals with in the 416 last fall....All performed perfectly. (2 bullets on left are from 416 Rigby & 1 on right is 500 NE).

Depends on what you plan to shoot. If you’re after buff, I’d say hunt with the TSX and use the rest for practice.
My compliments on your inventory! Don’t be one of those two box guys!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
