10.75x68 Mauser Rifle

Although I recently sold a lot of Big Bore rifles .. I still have 2 rifles in 10.75x68 ... both are very rare so they stayed home. I love this caliber. With today's modern powders it is possible to get 2250 fps with a 400g bullet. .. What more could you want?

my 10.75x68 KRICO

I had a Krico in 5,6x57 Rws , very good rifle . And simple refined action similar to a 700 but better . Sad they went bust . If I had come across a 10,75 I would snagged it if I could . Dream rifle of that was a 9,3 but one never turned up sadly .

Yes, when this Krico came up for sale, I snagged it. No catalog listed the 10.75 .. the largest caliber listed in any catalog was the 9.3 ... A fellow in Germany familiar with Krico rifles said it must have been a special order. Its great being clip fed, and it has 2 clips. I love this one, and the caliber.

They had many good ones , one that was called Sniper in 7,62 one of better such ones to find without all unnecessary parts and pieces plastered on to it .

And their magazines and mag catch is one very good and strong .

They were popular as match rifles for running moose in the 80-90s hete before others took over . And it’s well deserved so .

Howdy,
I’m not trying to hijack the post, but just wondering if you Mauser guys have run across any 10.75x63 sporters?
I purchased one under the assumption it was a 10.75x68, turns out it’s the oddball predecessor, the older 10.75x63. I cannot find much info on them, looks like a small run were sent to retailers in India prior to the 10.75x68.
It shoots very well with trimmed down 10.75x68 brass and 340gr bullets.
I would be interested in hearing about any others out there!
Cheers

I don’t have any info for you, but that rifle looks to be in great condition. It’s hard for me to tell, but does that barrel have a full rib? Hubba Hubba.

You might have edited your post on the PH in the Bubye. I know the PH and is a wonderful person and a fmaily man and runs a succesful business in Zim and just doesn't want the attention that the internet offers, the ugly kind.

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
