What rifles do you own that haven't seen Africa, but NEED to...

Yes, I'm stealing Beck's post, but:

This message will also self-destruct in 15 seconds. If my wife ever hears anything about it, I will deny its existence.

.458 Winchester Magnum - Winchester Model 70
.458 Winchester Magnum - CZ 550
.375 H&H - Newer CRF Winchester Model 70
.375 H&H - Browning FN Safari
.340 Weatherby Magnum - Weatherby Mark V

any of my several .30/06's

Rifles I have taken:

.470 NE - Heym Model 88b
.416 Rigby - CZ 550
.375 H&H - Winchester post-64 push feed
.300 Winchester Magnum - Weatherby Vanguard

Too bad, the .470 didn't have an opportunity to prove itself...
I've never seen a Browning FN Safari in .375HH....sigh.

All of the following NEED to take a trip at some point:

LH Sako Hunter 85 in 30-06 & LH Winchester Safari Express in 375 H&H

Ruger No. 1 RSI in 275 Rigby

ah_275rsi-jpg.642753

LH Steyr CL II in 30-06

ah_steyr-clii-01-jpg.649701

Ruger No. 1S in 9.3x74r

ah_ruger-jpg.673479

I'm down to one that needs to go, a .45 smokeless muzzleloader for cape buffalo.

Dakota 76 African - .416 Rigby
Heym Martini Express - .404 Jeffery - (due in March)
Rigby Highland Stalker - .275 Rigby
1959 Winchester Model 70 - .338 Win Mag
1975 Browning FN Hi-Power Olympian - .375H&H
MRC Tsavo - .375 H&H

For light PG: an original Swede M94 carbine in 6.5x55mm (iron sights, no scope)
For large PG: M1917 action sporterized .35 Whelen A.I.

Everything else appropriate for Africa has already been there!

The Parkwest arms Dark Continent 404 Jeffery that hopefully will be completed in January! It needs to be taken to Africa to kill a Cape Buffalo, and I'm going to do just that!

Two.

The first is a 1950s era Belgium Browning safari rifle in .375 H&H. It does just over an inch with 300 gr A-frames. I inherited this from my dad when he passed a few years back. It really, really needs to tip over an eland, or lion, or something.

The second is an FN Mauser .30-06 that I inherited from my dad..... who inherited it from his dad, who acquired it just after WWII. I'm pretty sure it with him when he was killed in a hunting accident in the 1950s. With a horribly scarred stock and a bulged barrel, it's currently being reworked into a .280 Ackley with a modern trigger, re-finished stock, 3-position safety, and a bit heavier threaded barrel. After a trip to Africa, I intend to leave it to my grandson. In about 8 years when he's big enough, he can hunt with his great-great-grandfather's rifle. Pretty cool, says I, and I want it to be used.

I have a few doubles that need to go. The top two in this first photo are wheels up Friday.

The bottom rifle in that first photo, a 1912 Westley Richards 450/400 will hopefully make across sometime in the not too distant future. As will the rifle pictured left in this next photo, which my newest 375 Flanged Magnum but didn’t get all sorted and dialed in time to make this weeks departure.

And whenever I make Uganda where longer shots on buff become increasingly likely, I’ll take my Ryan Breeding 505 Gibbs to extend the range just a bit should a must have opportunity present just outside effective range of my 450NE or 500NE.

There a few other bolt guns that want in the game, but that’s the short list.

1906 Joseph Lang .450/400 3.25NE

I am so glad I don't have your problems all my guns are in Africa :ROFLMAO:
But the only one that has crossed the borders here in Africa is my Musgrave 375 H&H.

Good morning from Montana.

I'm looking at a post from 2018 where you were looking for a lefty Winchester in .375 H&H Magnum. I'm selling mine. My email is [redacted] in the event that you're still searching for a unicorn.

Best,

Kelly Palmer

Couple of quick questions:

1) Can we add some additional species on
