New CCH Rigby Highland Stalker

I love the Highland Stalker rifes from Rigby, so around 18 months ago I decided to trade in my old 9.3x62 and order a new one with upgrades.
As of late 2024-early 2025, Rigby started offering colour case hardened actions as an upgrade for the Highland Stalker, I ordered this one with CCH action & safety housing as well as upgraded wood.
Mounted a Swarovski z8i 1-8 in 30mm QD Hexalock rings, with the rings and scope it weighs in at 9.2lbs perfect weight for the 9.3x62.

Tomorrow I'll test a few different handloads through it, 232 grain PP Woodleighs, 286 grain Hornady SPRP & 320 grain RNSN Woodleighs. For now I will zero it with the 232 grain Woodleighs for wild boar here in Australia.

Other than the framing lumber quality stock, it should be accurate and serviceable. . .

I've made some lucky shots in my time but this one was a different level of luck. I ranged the distance when I took that photo, 282 yards back to where my shooting position was. 2 head shots with 1 bullet at 282 yards is a new PB for me!

Well done sir!...... I will add that I've been to OZ twice and for a total of three months spent on your big damn island, and I must say that you Aussies have an appreciation for fine guns.

I find it equally amusing that every man and his dog that owns fine rifles also has a handful of "working" guns that are both quality and bear the scars of years in the bush.
