Politics

Say the following: “I hate Israel”. And by Israel I mean the Jews. Get it off your chest. May make you feel better. Honesty does a body good.

Bullshit..I do not hate Israel, nor jews.. But I acknowledge their right-wing zionist agenda..

Wich is expanding their territory..as they have steadily done since 1948.. Because the Tora say they should rule the land from Egypt to Eufrates.. A toxic mix of religion and politics. Made possible with american support.

Hamas kill 1200 israelis..you scream bloody murder..

Israel kill 70.000 palestinians/arabs in Gaza...you stay silent. Not a word.

Say the following. " I hate arabs " Make you feel better. Hypocrite..

I think you do. Just in denial. Laughable

How do you expect a ceasefire to hold as long as Israel, with its own agenda in Lebanon, behave as a loose cannon on deck..?

We can call it asymmetric warfare.
For large conventional navy power in coastal waters that is really inconvenient to put it mildly.

Now put any warship of any navy in black sea, against Ukraine, or Russia - which ever.
And watch what happens next.

Entire paradigm of coastal warfare changed with appearance of drones.
But not only at sea.
The tanks and armored vehicles on both sides suffered the same.

The new paradigm proven on actual exercises:

Dont think the Russians did not develop similar capabilities. On modern battlefield, they are toe to toe with ukranians and inching forward. They are learning hard way
Well - not exactly. We have had the technology to destroy drones - alone, in pairs, and in swarms since I left the defense industry (2014). We have not done anything meaningful from a procurement standpoint because we have been wishing away the problem for that same decade. I would be stunned if a proposal isn't already out to selected members of industry for a combat vehicle mounted drone killer. We already have one for anti-tank rocket based munitions. No that was not on the 33 M1A2's we provided Ukraine. So equipped and the armored vehicle is lethal as ever.

One of our destroyers off the coast of Israel is doing the procurement field test for a ship mounted laser. Ships, even a destroyer, has enormous reserves of power for energy based weapons. Drones and anti-ship cruise missiles move at subsonic speeds - a laser engages at the speed of light. A hypersonic is a more complex challenge, but simply a challenge. And I'll leave it at that.

With respect to constrained waters like the Black Sea or Persian Gulf, we have no need to enter them. Because of organic refueling capability carrier strike groups can conduct continuous operations from well over the horizon. Neither Russia nor China has anything remotely capable of matching those capabilities.

With respect to Russian ground forces, my professional judgement is that they represent a 16th century organization and operational control model utilizing mid-twentieth century weaponry. You will have to explain to me what they represent to US force other than targets.

China hasn't fought anyone since they were using human wave tactics in Korea. They do not have a single airman, soldier, or sailor with one second of combat experience, More importantly, their whole panoply of weaponry was developed with no such input from the actual employment arms. I wish them luck.

Should you deduce, as you have implied by my "taking the bait," that I hold the Eastern way of war in some professional disdain, you would be absolutely correct.

And don't forget about all the future lives that will be saved from the terrorist state of Iran and it's proxies, by their destruction.
We all know that the Democrats and their flying monkey constituents support the terrorist states.
You all love terrorists, and hate America and it's middle eastern allies.
I'm surprised you don't have an Iranian flag as your avatar, like many of the leftist goons on social media do.
Well by your logic it sounds like you should run along, I'd hate for you to miss your Klan meeting tonight. Don't want to make your grand wizard angry.

Sure I know quite a few doctors and some engineers. I don’t believe you need to go to college to learn any of the jobs you mentioned if your autodidactic. A common concern in the medical profession is that by the time most doctors finish med school most of what they learned is considered outdated so you have to constantly be willing to self study to keep up to date.

Now since you seem to sound condescending let’s examine the part where I said exceptional people.

Albert Einstein dropped out of polytechnic.
Henry ford no formal education in engineering.
Richard Branson one of the greatest entrepreneurs of all time made the virgin group dropped out of school at 16. Seeing as to how he designed air and space companies I’d say he has some knowledge of engineering.

Thomas Edison, Michael dell(dell computer), Ben Franklin, tim berners-lee (created the the worldwide web), there are literally 1000’s of software engineers working or have created the systems that you use that have no degree or formal education.

Now you mentioned civil so let’s see
John roebling built the Brooklyn bridge. Interesting
He had hands on training and no formal education from a university and yet be built a pretty famous bridge.

George Stephenson (father of railways)

Benjamin wright (Erie Canal )
Thomas Telford (colossus of roads)(menai suspension bridge)
Eiffel gustave went to school for art and used hands on experience to build the tower.
Isambard kingdom Brunel ( great eastern ship, great western railway and multiple bridges in Britain. I highly encourage you to pick up a few books from your local library or from online on some of the individuals I named they are quite fascinating
Congrats, you've listed a few outliers amongst hundreds of millions of people.

Projection? Quite to the contrary. The fruitloop left spilled more ink whinning about Donald Trump's hair than the right ever did about Joe Biden.

Faux News, oh isn't that clever. Proof positive all the Leftist catch words and phrases are conveniently issued to the little people who can't think for themselves.

Trump said no forever wars, and unfortunately your "Drive By" media tells you "See, See, the right is now anti-war".

If the members of this forum are any indication, many on the right have not only served, but did so in a Combat Arms M.O.S., and aren't shy about backing military action when it's needed.

Republicans with the exception of the "Woke Right" tend to be fairly pro war.

Here's your real problem. You believe what your fruitloop news TELLS you to believe about the political right, not what we actually think or say.

Ahh the Brainwashed Buzzword appears for the second time in one post. You must really like that one.

Oh well, small mind = small vocabulary.
Sorry, no facts detected, only biased opinions.

…and Oklahomans can easily go back a half century to name coaching traitors like Darrel Royal. Or a century and a quarter to name a Texas Governor like Jim Hogg who had the dullard sense to name his daughter Ima. ;)
And the other daughter Eura....

Of course, good old Bibi had to fuck up the cease fire. It did not suit his agenda..Jeez.. :Banghead:

2 hours ago (on Fox news..):

Iran reportedly halted oil tanker traffic in the Strait of Hormuz in response to Israeli attacks on Lebanon, as Iranian officials accuse the U.S. of violating ceasefire clauses before the start of negotiations.
Only limited Iranian and Chinese tankers have been allowed to pass through the key waterway, according to a report from Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) state-affiliated media.
The standstill comes after Iranian parliamentary speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf released a scathing statement on social media Wednesday accusing the U.S. of violating three key clauses of the 10-point proposal.
Among the alleged violations, Ghalibaf claimed the U.S. failed to comply with a ceasefire in Lebanon, which Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday night said was part of the deal.
Vice President JD Vance and White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said during separate media appearances Wednesday that a ceasefire in Lebanon was not included in the agreement.
Well of course he did. As long as a war is going on he won't be tried for his own crimes. He's simply trying to get ahead of the jailer.

Iran will find out that getting pummeled before the cease fire was not nearly as painful as being pummeled after the ceasefire will be. The lights will go out. And when the lights come back on. A lot will have changed.

The U.S. Marines will own Kharg Island.
This gets the award for most ignorant comment of the day. A land war is what Iran wants. More targets to hit. More Americans that they can kill. They have been trying to goad Trump into a land war this whole time.

I know many of you, for some good reason, despise the NY Times. I also suspect many have rarely read an article ever actually printed in it. I would urge all of you to make an exception for this one - if there isn't a paywall. During any administration, there will be three or four journalists with whom a President is comfortable having a detailed background dialogue. That journalist will also be one with whom he also will allow his closest advisors to dialogue. I am fairly confident that Maggie Habermann of the NYT represents such a conduit for Trump. This article is superb and could only be written with such access. It makes something of a mockery of the democrat talking points that Trump blindly stumbled into this conflict or was led around by the nose by the Israelis. I reiterate, it was published yesterday in the NY Times.

or if behind a paywall, try this link.

Well worth 5 or 10 minutes.

Don't feed the Zionist trolls...that's what they want @Pondoro...Dead arabs don't mean anything to them. Israel complains about Arab terrorists and then they appoint jewish ones to positions of power. Nothing will ever penetrate that hypocrisy buddy.

Tell me @Big_Easy Do you hunt? Do you aspire to be a hunter? Cuz, for the life of me, I don’t understand why a man would join a HUNTING forum and go out of his way to piss off and alienate the majority of the members of the forum. Do you feel it’s your duty? Is it an attempt to change hearts and minds? Are you trying to save us from ourselves, or trying to demonstrate a superior intellect?

Hope you’re not trying to develop any friendships here or meet potential hunting partners. You’ve done pissed in those cornflakes.

All, I would suggest ignoring @Big Easy. He has been here a while, but on this thread he is a typical troll, with the intellectual capacity and discipline of 14 year old. Heck, after looking at the few non politics posts he has made, that may be generous. When he gets no responses after jumping atop his classroom desk and trying to look clever, he goes away for a couple of days before trying again hoping someone responds. A typical troll. I would be surprised if @BRICKBURN isn't already monitoring his posts and engagement.

Y
You are quite right.

But the immigration into England was never "unchecked." It was planned by the British government because they had a labour shortage, needed to rebuild their country after WWII, and had created their own obligations by making many muslim areas part of their empire. It was not like these people were coming from countries that had not been subject to British rule. They were, many of them British subjects, subject to the same Crown I was (am). There was very little "kindness" about the British policy as many people of colour and muslims were not at all well treated when they came to England, through programs designed to attract them.
Yes, this is part of the stupidity that @spike.t is referring to.

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
