to everyone on Africa Hunting.
i am Humayd A R Mahomedy [aka harm].
i started bow hunting last year, which was my first hunt of any kind, and wonder what took me so long to get into it.
i've hunted this year as well,in March.both hunts were in my home province of KwaZulu Natal.i have yet to take an animal though, and look forward to my next trip,in June [also in KZN],God willing.

Welcome Harm.
Great to know another is being added to the hunting ranks.
Wish you success for the June hunt.

Welcome to AH harm! All the best with your upcoming hunt in June.

Welcome to AH harm, glad to hear you are useing stick and string, that a boy. What animals are you wanting to harvest? Do you have your own property or do you have to book with someone?
Hope your next trip is fruitfull so you can rub some of the blood on your checks. Sign of first time hunters first kill. Gotta love it. GET ER DONE!

I first started archery in 2002. Heard too many stories about how people lost deer, bad shots etc., and thought I'd never use one. It's mostly the person behind the trigger or string, not the equipment. But now I love the sport. Had my bow for a month when I took it along to Manitoba Canada on my first bear hunt. Had my muzzleloader with but I was shooting very well with the bow and shot my bear with that. I've also hunted Elk in Colorado, Moose in Ontario with no luck. I have two Pope & Young Whitetail Deer.

June will soon be here, you gotta be excited.

thanks guys.
Roger, unfortunately,i do not have my own hunting farm so i'm booked at Emaweni game ranch (www.emaweni.com). i hunted there last June as well.i plan on hunting Impala,Mountain Reedbuck, Grey Duiker,Blesbuck, maybe a Blue Wildebeest cow. hunting will be by walk and stalk,so i might get 1 or 2 out of that lot.i've been shooting a compound bow since Dec '91,just retired that same bow last week.it was PSE Polaris.while shooting last week i discovered that both the limbs were cracked.i was disappointed as i had hoped to take an animal with my "old faithful" before retiring it.as the bow is so old, there are no replacement limbs available.
i do have another bow [Reflex Bighorn],so i'll be using that 1 in June.
you've taken some beauties with the bow Roger.

Harm,

Welcome aboard , have a great safari !!!
