I appreciate you clarifying your assessment..
Here is mine..
Any country that does not perceive China as an existential threat is likely beholden to them in one way or another. They are likely economic slaves, pawns, or both. In any case, those countries you are referring to who welcome China's challenge of power to the United States are, in my view, enemies or bad actors at the very least. So, I could care less what their opinion of the United States is.

Let's see how happy these countries are when China controls every facet of their existences.

Times may change but the theme is always the same.. Everyone hates the United States until they need us..
The world needs a strong USA whether they like to admit it or not. The tough part for the patriotic USA is to always be there for the useless world despite having been put down by them time and time again. Will the world ever learn? Probably not until the end times.

Just a little perspective: The federal deficit is about $21T. So if you started counting dollar bills and you took one second per bill, with no breaks and counting 24 hours per day, seven days per week, no vacation or holidays, to reach the $21T it would take you just short of seven thousand years. Basically, If Abraham started counting and the count was through the present day, he would still be counting.

It is easy to not realize how something disliked is a benefit.
When america was America there was a global effect from our existence.
Many that dislike us need our resources and markets to maintain their status quo.
However, when our subprime loan debacle knocked jobs down globally the Chinese workers, for one, found their jobs gone the next day with no recourse. No unemployment etc. That fits a lot of countries and their leaders could care less.
That I've heard of, at least Japan and China have bought farmland in america and are growing food over here to ship home. And using our water without limit in the southwest while we whine over shortages. (That was in the Arizona republic newspaper a few weeks ago.)
Okay, if america fails to exist the land still does. It would be a free for all winner take all. Well, except for the Indian reservations. That belongs to them. Ops, as long as america exists and the agreements aren't reneged on again. Japan and Ukraine/Russia have nuclear contaminated land. China has polluted their country like we did during our industrial revolution, except they are doing theirs with modern contaminants. Gosh, it is much easier to move and restart elsewhere.
But hey, these things can't happen. Can they?
Is this where someone starts an Ostrich union where we all learn to stick our heads in the sand? :)

I looked into the Politics section - alas, until this war ends, there will be no reliable information, but only military propaganda (from both sides). And this always causes people to hate, aggression and a desire to quarrel. It's unpleasant for me, so I try to appear less here.
But, if anyone is interested, I will speak out a little, on propaganda. Some details: cell phones and other devices are strictly prohibited in the Russian army, so all the stories allegedly recorded by "Russian soldiers" are fake. All the videos from the Russian side can be either from accredited operators (naturally, belatedly and you won't understand anything), or at best from civilians, but they shoot only "arrivals", which, by the way, occur mainly at night. There are quite a lot of staged videos from the Ukrainian side, designed, in my opinion, for a Western audience, such as this vile video with "a car for a murdered son." We have popular channels where such fake stories are investigated, although I don't see the point in this - new ones will be filmed tomorrow.
As for HIMARS, I don't think that military supplies from the United States include something super-secret - the responsible persons most likely understand that all this can get to the enemy (i.e. to us, the Russians). And it is unlikely that these weapons can change the course of the war - there are relatively few of them, and the weapons that are in service with Ukraine are more powerful and deadly, although a lot has already been lost.
And, RedLeg - although the Russians, of course, are very strong people, but 220-mm and 300-mm missiles for MLRS are still very heavy and can hardly be unloaded and loaded manually - probably, there are transport-loading machines or something like that for this.

I don't have a strong opinion with regard to the war in the Ukraine but I do see a few things as facts or at least coincidences. Fact one: Russia attacked Ukraine. Fact two: Putin is displaying behavior reminiscent of Adolf Hitler's behavior regarding Czechoslovakia. Fact three. The war is being foght on Ukraine soil. Fact four, Russian troops and materiel are free to withdraw at any time. Fact five Putin has had three attacks into Ukraine in the last several years and each one coincided with his ability to pay for it due to the worldwide price of oil.

Am I seeing a graceful way for Joe to move on, Kamala steps up, she appoints a new VP and steps aside in 2024 for the VP to run..anyone want to speculate who she appoints as VP. Maybe a member of the shadow government that is now directing Joe. Maybe, just maybe, a well known name from the past WH days. No…No….No…not Rosalind Carter.

I hate to admit it, but if what you say actually comes to light then the 2024 election would be tough for the republicans to take back.

It could certainly play out that way in some variation. To me the scariest scenario would be Michelle “reluctantly” throwing in at the last minute possibly under a “draft”. Then going stealth and rope a dope until the election. A nightmare scenario.

"This machine is required to move 500 tons of earth/ ore which will be refined into one lithium car battery. It burns 900-1000 gallons of fuel in a 12 hour shift.
Lithium is refined from ore using sulfuric acid. The proposed lithium mine at Thacker Pass is estimated to require up to 75 semi loads of sulfuric acid a day! The acid does not turn into unicorn food like AOC believes.
A battery in an electric car, lets say an average Tesla, is made of 25 pounds of lithium, 60 pounds of nickel, 44 pounds of manganese, 30 pounds of cobalt, 200 pounds of copper, and 400 pounds of aluminum,
steel, and plastic, etc...... averaging 750-1,000 pounds
of minerals, that had to be mined and processed into a battery that merely stores electricity..... Electricity which is generated by oil, gas, coal, nuclear, or water (and a tiny fraction of wind and solar)....
That is the truth, about the lie, of "green" energy.
There’s nothing green about the green new deal. You people better learn how to vote or this nonsense will continue to flow down on top of you from the throne of government you put these people on."

But Thacker Pass lithium mine (pit) is not near LosAngeles, San Francisco, New York or Washington DC; so those alleged people pushing the issue do not care about it- as long as whatever issue they push keeps the illiterati voting for them. Sooner or later it isn't going to end well.

So if it takes 500 tons of ore to make one battery and the battery has 25 pounds of lithium. it follows that it takes 500x2000= 1,000,000 pound of ore to produce 25 pounds of lithium? That 1 pound for every 40,000 pounds of ore. Is this correct?
