Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends

I will always remember the following story about Andrew.

A few years ago an American hunter was on his way to hunt in Mozambique. He hadn't heard from his outfitter for an extended period of time and wasn't sure if his hunt had been cancelled. He wasn't sure if he should leave to go on the trip. He left anyway, after making some posts on an internet hunting site.

Andrew drove from his home in the FreeState to Tambo to meet the hunter. The hunter had given Andrew the right time but the wrong day. Andrew repeated the trip the next day to get the hunter squared away. The hunt in Mozambique went off fine as I recall, after a number of SAT phone attempts and a day or so delay.

Andrew went way out of his way to help a fellow hunter he didn't know and had never met, with no expectations of compensation or recognition.

I was fortunate to communicate with Andrew a few times but never had the opportunity to meet him or hunt with him. It is my loss that I never shared a campfire with him!

The world is a lesser place without Andrew. Comfort and peace to his family.

Prayers....

Condolences. Rest in peace Andrew.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
