There could have been more potato salad. It was really good, but I got the sense that folks didn't take as much as they wanted because they were afraid that not everyone would get some.

The sad part was that Wes wanted to make more and Sandy wouldn't let him. It was a bit of a buzz kill....

Just wanted to say Sandy and I had a blast yesterday. You guys and your wives are one of the reasons I enjoy AH so much. Genuine, down-to-earth folks that have become friends for life. For those following this thread, I hope you consider making the next one. I think the consensus was to make this an annual event! I'm game!

We were also discussing trying to put together a "AH Big Bore Shooting Event" similar to the DSC event. Early stages but maybe Jerome will chime in with some thoughts??

If this happens, I am officially declaring here and now that I will crash this thing and create no end of controversy by bringing a 45-70!!

It was truly a great time and Wes and Sandy were very gracious hosts. I'm very grateful to have been invited into their home.

Their place is fantastic and the trophy room was not done justice by the pictures I had previously seen.

The fellowship was great and as @tarbe said, many lies were told, but mainly my the women folk (that's my story and I'm sticking to it ).

I was at the range today, enjoying some beautiful weather and getting kissed by the 450-400...while the barrel was cooling I found myself thinking the weather is getting just right for an AH GTG.
