My new (used) Krieghoff Double in 500/416 is regulated for the Woodleigh 410 grain bullet. I have never used Woodleigh before but know they have a good reputation. In researching the brand I came across the captioned bullet. It is meant to replace both the soft point and Solid bullet having the best qualities of both. My question is has anyone used these bullets in Africa or on Animals. Any reviews?
My second question is if this is gun is regulated with this 410 grain bullet at @2325fps, what methodology would I use for a 400 grain barnes? Would I try to match the fps or just trial and error until it regulates properly. I will tell you the Hornady ammo (only stuff I could find), 400 grains was spot on vertically but the barrel did cross and were 3 1/2 inches apart at 50Yards.
Thanks.
I am technologically deficient, not sure how to post video here, so I posted in the video section of us shooting the gun this weekend on some poor defenseless fruit!
