Where and who are you hunting with in 2016

It is amazing you can do a million sweet things but mention cape buffalo or leopard and suddenly everything is forgotten.
If your wife only complains about a buffalo or Leopard hunt you are a blessed man.

She complains regardless, but I like to throw the big numbers out there so normal hunts don't seem as bad. Now I show her exportable elephants hunts so when I get a deal on a tuskless it won't seem as bad. I also leave full bag safari prices from Tanzania up on my computer when I go to bed. Life is all about expectations. I also hoping she can't tell the difference between a marco polo sheep and a dall sheep :A Banana::A Banana::E Happy:

My father, brother and I are headed to the Limpopo province with Cruisers Safaris in August for a 10 day PG hunt.

This is our first African safari, we'er hunting Kudu, Gemsbok, Blue Wildebeast, Zebra, Water Buck, Red Hartebeest, Blesbok, Impala, Warthog and any other PG the emergency budget can stand.

The camp holds 4 hunters so they have one spot open during our hunt.
Good stuff and wish you guys all the success for a wonderful hunting experience in RSA.. Limpopo area is fantastic hunting bush. Straight shooting and happy memories!!

I pacify my lovely wife with trips overseas... I go hunting with the boys, she goes to Europe, back home to her family in Brazil or wherever!!! She gave up on us a long time ago and just accepts the fact the hunting is in our genes and we will do it until we reach the "Happy Hunting Grounds" ....

Well, I'm back from my trip! :D

@UKHunter

Congrats on the great trophy. Every time you post it seems like it is something I never thought about hunting. Where you did get the Ibex?

Thank you!

There should be a few more species for you to think about next year, hopefully!

I was hunting in Spain - I did a write-up in the hunting Europe section.

Have you hunted the Bezoar Ibex?

No, however I am looking at doing it in 2 years time. I have a couple of areas I'm looking at.

Let me know if you don't find what you are looking for. I use to share a booth with guys who hold some of the finest areas in Turkey where they shoot some great Ibex. They've taken a few 300kg + keiler there as well, so you might be able to add that to a hunt.

Very kind of you, I'll be in touch should plans fall through.

I reported very early in this thread that I would be hunting Ethiopia in 2016. That was the good news. The bad news was that it was November, 2016, and I thought that was a long time to wait.

Too long as it turns out. I have all of the big cats, now need the small cats. I've just booked a hunt with Wintershoek Safaris for "nocturnal" animals - serval, wildcat, genet, civet, honey badger, brown hyena, etc., etc, with some Limpopo odds and ends thrown in - including a Limpopo bushbuck, to complement the Chobe and the Cape that I already have. Yet another list to finish, I guess. Hunt is in April.

I need to learn patience.

Then night hunting in a blind is the perfect hunt for you and can't get here soon enough! :A Bravo:
Are patience and sitting still the same thing?

Heck if I know.... I've never had the patience to sit still long enough to know. A leopard hunt will be a HUGE challenge for me for that reason alone.

My experience is somewhat limited . . . but I found that you had to be "stiller" for bush pigs than for leopards . . . probably why I got a leopard and bush pigs have beaten me every time!

Congrats, I'm jealous, I can't wait to hear about the hunt. I hope you have a successful hunt.

I just saw Budsgunshop.com has both the guide gun and the African for $1150. FWIW - I bought both and decided to use the Guide gun - I restocked it in a Bell and Carlson stock and I added the Alaska arms floor plate to add a round. I wanted the shorter barrel as I will use a suppressor. I wont go lower than $1100, but I will ship it and no sales tax.

Let me know if you are interested
