Minor issue or life Threatening Problem???

Merry Christmas Guys,
I never did tell y'all about the hunt. Forgive me for most likely posting this in the wrong place. The M70 worked just fine!!

glad you sorted your rifle, and dont want to put a damper on things,..... but not keen on the photo of you astride the animal ,or any type of trophy photos posed/taken in this manner. not much respect ......... and also viewing this sort of thing makes the people who arent sure about their feelings on hunting move to the negative way of thinking...........

My feelings exactly.

I have to completely agree with Mike... But it kind of pisses me off that we need to worry so.... I'm sure it was meant to be light hearted and fun!

There are many ways to express the joy of hunting through light hearted fun. I feel whooping it up by "riding" a dead animal trivializes sport hunting and is disrespectful to the animal . . . . just my view.

Bob, what pics are these people talking about being disrespectful? The only one I see is the hunter pointing out the entry wound and the two sideway exit wounds.

Dave the other pics must have been deleted. Maybe the posts commenting about those pictures should be as well?

OK, that makes sense. Thanks.

OK guys, here is a more common type photo that shows me and my lovely wife after this wonderful bull was taken. She was with me step for step for the entire 10 days. Thanks to Brian Van Blerk for successfully guiding us to success.

There seems to be some confusion about MY actions as a moderator.
My actions were not about censorship, but continuity.
Two members made separate requests about continuity of the thread and I jumped in and changed it. (I'll be slower on the trigger in the future)

There is zero wrong with the discussion or debate. Have at it.

So, the posts are back. The offending picture was removed at the request of the OP.

Another thread on the topic of trophy pictures. Please add your comments into this thread as well.

Thank you BRICKBURN,
Being new to this forum I didn't want to be the cause of controversy about trophy pictures and asked for the original to be removed. I replaced it with the current one.

There is nothing wrong with controversy. Everyone has an opinion and some people are not going to agree. Doing so respectfully is the name of the game.

:A Stirring::A Sting:

...and the world goes round.

hgr2,

I also believe there's nothing wrong with controversy. In many instances it can lead to a greater understanding and common ground. I also think the most recent trophy photo you posted is terrific!

Congratulations on your successful hunt.

+1 on the subject of respect / disrespect toward any animal we take.

wayne i only asked as i thought without the "photo" it was causing a bit of confusion, as its impossible to put the posts concerning it in a context with what is there now........its nothing to do with censorship and i dont see continuity as the photo has gone.

Yea that was the point I was making, go ahead and delete my posts on this thread if it helps.... Although by now it is pretty well explained so whatever.
