I would tend to agree that the seller was in on it somehow (or coerced).

Seriously, if we went to a gun shop in Nevada and said we'd like 200,000 rounds for a full-auto shoot / bachelor party they'd just start loading your pallets. Pretty normal stuff over here in the USA.

I think I speak for every American on this forum when I say this: We find it hilarious when liberal urban TV news reports a "massive" gun seizure that includes 7 weapons and 2000 rounds of ammunition. With a hearty chuckle I state I don't know a single gun owner that would be so ill-prepared.

In CA you have to be a legal resident or citizen as there is a background check. I think some other leftist States like IL, NY, NJ also require it. On free States no background checks.

Perhaps Vashper knew some of the Russian immigrants that I both worked with and those I interacted when I worked as a sheriffs deputy. There were a surprisingly large number of number of both Russian (20k) and Ukrainian (20k) immigrants in the California city and county I worked in with about 100,000 total Slavic immigrants from the various former Soviet republics. The Ukrainians always were very quick to correct me if mistaken for Russian (always politely).

This was many years ago, way before the Russian invasion of Ukraine. We had both Russian and Ukrainian officers on our department, all first generation immigrants that served in the Russian military, were university educated then immigrated to the U.S. and quickly learned English and assimilated. Having had an opportunity to interact with their communities, I came away truly impressed with them, all hardworking, quick to assimilate, but still proud of their heritage, grateful to be here pursuing the American dream.

Certainly Vashper can have an opinion on those Russians he knows who’ve immigrated to Canada and the U.S.? No need to be offended, of course it’s better to live in the U.S. than Canada.
