First year in the last 10 that we were skunked on deer. 10 guys hunting 3 different properties and nothing.

At least we got a moose.

Filled my 2024 whitetail tag this morning. Tough seeing any mature bucks this year. Had pics of a real nice one but he’s pretty nocturnal. Was happy to get this fellow. Now I need to help family members get theirs.

I don't have target bucks, but I knew this guy from trailcam pictures and videos and I wanted to kill him...

This one fooled me a little - the heavy, dark antlers made me think he was a mature buck but he's probably a 2½ year old.

My Alberta muley from yesterday. My best deer. He brought some times off fighting day before yesterday. Would have grossed just over 200” had he not broke off appx 12”.

Agreed. It had 2023 off and it didn’t feel right!

Ok I’m scheduled in to have a crack on Saturday evening/sunday! Told em no care about a trophy just a deer to get my first run on the board.

Excited and nervous. Using a 30-06 so that’s pretty classic.

Good luck this weekend! My daughter shot her first deer up near Bartlesville a few years back. Hope you get a good one!

I'm jealous looking at these pics.
Just a doe and a cowhorn so far this year.

I've seen a bunch of small bucks that I let walk. Will try to put 3-4 more does in the freezer before the season ends on Jan 1rst.
