I received this in an email earlier today.
Why is Good Friday “good”?
…He said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
JOHN 19:30
“God with us” became “God for us” by giving up His life to rescue us so that we could know Him personally.
That’s what makes Good Friday “good.”
Before you prepare to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection, take time to reflect on His crucifixion with this prayer.
“But He was pierced because of our transgressions, crushed because of our iniquities; punishment for our peace was on Him, and we are healed by His wounds.”
Isaiah 53:5
