@Don458, no sir never have. Where were you in Sicily? Back in the 80s, I was station in Comiso AB, in the Province of Ragusa. Beautiful place!

Never heard of them. Probably manufactured in Italy?

Nice! I probably went through there since I went to Palermo several times. My SIL used to live there, and she took me all over that area. I fell in love with Sicily, the people and the food. I didn't want to come back, but unfortunately the base where I was station closed.

Nothing like a homemade wine and Ashton maduro cigarello break between icing after you just had a steroid shot in the neck!

First time I had these Ashtons. A nice 20 minute smoke when you cane committed to 90 minutes.

I may have to get the full size some time though

I have a Lebanese friend who owns a villa in Italy. He brought some back and we were going to smoke, but we ended meeting elsewhere so smoked some of my cigars. He said the same thing about tight draw. Maybe a month in the humidor might straighten them out. He said excellent flavor.

Hey cigar fans. I’m in Pretoria, SA, at a very “smoke friendly” guest house, Casa Kaya. Pleasantly surprised as I was prepared to smoke behind the dumpster. Just enjoying a petite Bolivar maduro with a nice cup of Joe before dinner. Heading out for next two weeks to chase night critters. Oughta be some kind of fun. Have cigars, will travel!

Good luck to ya, and hope you bag all those night critters. o_Oo_O (y)(y)

Did you bring that juicy box of La Promesa's with you?

At the cigar shop enjoying a Rocky Patel Vintage 2003, and Ice cold beer this time.

No sir. I actually treasured those too much to think I would smoke the whole box and have nothing when I got home.

They are really a great smoke, and although I can order more, they will be just the “coming home” stogie to look forward to smoking.

They are a good smoke. I picked up a couple more of them yesterday. They finally got some Toro's in stock, which is my favorite vitola.

this one has been sitting in the humidor since 2015.. not sure why it took so long to get around to smoking it...

It was EXCELLENT!

Crowned Heads limited edition cigar.. Double W, Arrington Vineyards.. I think they only made 200x ten count boxes of these things back when they did the run.. I smoked a couple "fresh" when they were first released.. somehow I missed this one (it was under a pile of other sticks in one of my "singles" trays)..

Typical Jon Huber/Crowned Heads product.. great flavor profile.. excellent performance..

I wish I had more hidden away somewhere..

Thanks for the recommendation on the Olivia whoever that was. I have been enjoying Rocky Patel 1999 and Camaroon. Drew Estate Fat Bottom Betty also. View attachment 299936

I had an olivia series v this weekend and was very disappointed. The burn was incredibly uneven. Taste wise, very mellow and good. But unfortunately it was too frustrating

I don't know to much about cigars in general. I used a travel humidor and kept using it after the trip. Some seem to get better after a week or so using Bovada packs. Maybe that will help?

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
