Would you like a Cigar?

Enjoyed a wonderful selection of Padron 1926 and other Family/Anniversary sticks over the last 20 days. Hands down fav was this Maduro 1926, think it’s a #9. I bought a box just before departing for Africa, and since I brought several of the 5-8 stick sampler boxes, I only brought 3. Sad mistake as they were amazing. All very, very good, but this one was a clear standout.

Is that an elephant I see in the background?

I'm a huge fan of Padron Aniversario cigars, and in my humble opinion, they are the best cigars in the cigar market. The 1926 series was made for Mr. Padron's birth year. My favorite is the 1964, maduro.

About 25 years ago or so, I was living in Homestead FL and dating this girl who lived in Miami and worked at an allergy center in Coral Gables. She called me one day to let me know that Mr. Jose Padron and his wife were in her clinic. I asked her to let me know next time they were scheduled to visit. Well, on that day I just happened to be there. They walked in, I introduced myself to him and told him how much I like his cigars. We spoke about cigars like two old friends. He was so humble and down to earth that if you didn't know, you wouldn't know he was the owner of the Padron cigars. Then my girlfriend walked out for them to be seen. From that day on, every time they came to be seen, Mrs. Padron would bring a small 5 pack sampler for my girlfriend to bring to me.

Padron’s are my favorite cigar and the 1926 is one of the best. You are definitely in the right place to enjoy them

And did you drop an elephant!?! If so congratulations!

That is a cool story! Before the kids I would be in south Florida every other week fishing and many of my friends parents are Fidel runoff’s run charters or other businesses( fishing tied us all together) First thing I learned is that as big as Miami and the surrounding areas are it’s really a small community in everyone is approachable and many are very friendly, it’s crazy who you could meet at a restaurant or out at the beach.
Mr. Pardon and son from the documentary’s I’ve seen always seemed like a down to earth gentleman. Nick Perodomo is like that as well he will talk with anyone and remember you which is cool

Great story. Not many get to say they met a legend

Funny you mention Nick Perdomo. I met him at the MIA I Ter national airport, we were both heading to Nicaragua; I was going on vacation and he was on a business trip with clients. Same thing, we spoke and he gave me a handful of Perdomo cigars. (y)

Putting this great ashtray to good use. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

My wife thought it was plastic until she picked it up :ROFLMAO:

Can’t wait to take it to the farm (y)

Yeah, that thing is thick ceramic and has some weight to it.

Enjoying the beautiful weather we’ve had this weekend.

The Nica Rustica Adobe from Drew Estate. I smoke a fair amount of these. Good smoke at a reasonable price. They also make the Nica Rustica in a shade grown wrapper which is good as well

Nice Report! Im about to pull the trigger on booking the LDE with Patrick. I have been talking about it with him for about 3 yrs now. Romain hit me up the other day with an offer I can't refuse for 2027.

Andrew, I commented that your on 375 H&H for sale was the fair price.

Like I commented, my classic stainless has the original 24” barrel.

Did you buy yours with the barrel already cut down to 21” or did you do it (or a gunsmith)?

You might have edited your post on the PH in the Bubye. I know the PH and is a wonderful person and a fmaily man and runs a succesful business in Zim and just doesn't want the attention that the internet offers, the ugly kind.
