Another one I’m enjoying…

Safari operator framed for murder and caught up in the political antics of Zimbabwe in the early 2000’s.

Started The Anxious Generation. More an employment related read for continuing education and special interest relating to patients I may deal with.
Thunder without th Rain was reviewed by several in the books section. I did not care for it at all and gave my copy away. Others wrote very positive things-I have other McIntyre books that I did enjoy-Augusts in Africa for example.

My wife and I read this book as it was recommended to us. I’m now recommending it to anyone I know who has kids.

Would be interested to hear any opinions as everyone I know who has read the book is in agreement with the conclusions and recommendations.

Just finished Mahohboh by Ron Thomson. One of the best books I've read about hunting elephant.

This should be on everybody's reading list. Also the potential he describes for elephant hunting to increase the wealth of the African people and his stance against the "greenies".

I always say to the animal rights activists that we as hunters are not your enemies. We have the same goals and truly love wildlife and nature. It makes me sad and angry at the same time when they think we are only in it to kill an animal.

I've just read Conquistador; Hernán Cortés, king Montezuma and the last stand of the Aztecs by Buddy Levy. History book about the conquest of Mexico. Great book, reads like a novel.

Regarding Africa just started with Mahohboh by Ron Thomson.

I just finished “Throne of Grace” about the mountain man Jedidiah Smith. Enjoyed it.

I’m about 20% into the western novel “Monte Walsh” by Jack Schaefer and am REALLY enjoying it.

I started Blixens “African Hunter” and was enjoying it so I stopped. Have a bear hunt in June and saving it for the tree stand.

Sweet! I enjoy having the physical books. But I really enjoy my kindle for ease of use. I wish more hunting books were available on kindle.

I also wish someone would digitalize hunting videos for use on devices.
