What are some oddball/rare dangerous game cartridges that are actually amazing

416TAYLOR and 416HOFFMAN come to mind.
Although I'd hardly consider them oddball or rare.
The 416 caliber is awfully crowded with good calibers.

.495 A-Square, naturally!

I will pile on to BeeMaa's candidates with .416 Ruger - the modernized .416 Taylor?
Ha!
How could I forget the obscure 415RUGER. ;)
And how could you forget the 416RIMMED.
Developed by A-Square!!!

Almost forgot about the 416WBY.
The 416WBY and the 416RIMMED are truly oddball and rare.
Is there anyone currently using these?

Like I said the 416 caliber is crowded.

.600 Nitro Express, perhaps the most specialized hunting cartridge there is..?

.450 NE. If not for the British ban on the calibre the .470 by Joseph Lang & .465 H&H would never have dethroned it. Ballistics are still the same.

.475 No2. I love the massive cartridge.

9,3x64. Punches way above it’s class. Super calibre for cats

.475 3/4 (Straight)..a .450NE necked up to .483..

First thing that came to mind when I saw this thread was 416 Taylor...

I absolutely love mine...

425 WR
500 Jeff
505 Gibbs
475 No 2 NE
500 NE 3 1/4"
450 No 2 NE
458 SABI
450 Rigby

IvW, not even Magnum Arms themself can provide components for the 458 Sabi.... Been trying to get a dummy round to no avail...

Makes it more rare but it was a good idea, I presume they have made very few of them...
