We bought some land

BIG-6 OR A CLASSIC-8 OVER THE BED WILL KICK IT OFF.

Can we get a pic of my room, please?

You’ll have to fight Oreo for that one :ROFLMAO: Can’t post picture, low signal, I’ll post pictures when I get home.

Ok @Hedge774, as promised, here is your bedroom guarded by Oreo, a ferocious Shi-Zu. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

It's perfect! Oreo can have the bed and I'll sleep on an old towel on the floor. Just like at home. I'll start packing!

@PARA45 it is absolutely amazing how you and Mrs. Para got that place so cleaned up in a relatively short amount of time! Truly awesome that you have such a cool getaway:) Congratulations again!

Thank you!!! My wife is the one with the vision, where I see junk, she sees something else with potential.

There is still a lot of work to be done. Next tackle is the flooring for the living room and kitchen. :ROFLMAO:

Thank you all for the positive comments. More to come. :D

A small update. Now that the holidays have passed, we got back on working on the mobile home. This place is starting to look too good and not the hunting lodge I had envisioned.

Flooring in the living room and kitchen is about 90% done. We also were able to hook up the stove and were able to cook inside. :ROFLMAO:

Got some miniblinds from Lowes, and we now have some privacy. :D

My last weekend of hunting season, and I had a mama doe with her two yearlings. I was going to take her and had a change of heart and let her walk. She did good raising her two offsprings, so I enjoyed watching them eat.

And of course, the big boys were at my stand two hours before sunlight. They will be really nice next year; the good news they all survived the season.

Here is the latest update. I believe I lost this battle and this so called "Hunting Lodge" is turning out more like an HGTV contest. I'll have to say that all this second hand stuff is working out. Mrs. Para liked the idea of the deer leg end table lamps, and any deer that gets killed on the property will be displayed in the living area. :ROFLMAO:

For a while, my wife and I had been discussing/planning on buying some land to have a little piece of dirt we can call it our own. So, after months of looking in Middle Georgia, and not liking the areas, or the prices, she finally found 26 acres about 35 minutes from our house. We went and looked it with the realtor, and my wife fell in love with the property from the moment she saw it. To top it off two deer jump off the bush and greeted us as we walked in the area.

We did a survey and everything checked out good. The property has a single wide (she is looking forward to fixing it, her HGTV project), a 3/4 of an acre spring fed pond (with big bass in it from what the neighbor has told me). It has two wells, electricity, and a septic tank already in the area. We've seen deer every day we've been there and that is a great sign. There are about 3 acres that are cleared, and the rest is a combination of hard wood with some scattered pines. I noticed a lot of oak trees, and some very mature trees, which will feed/keep the deer in the area. We need to clear the area from overgrown (not managed) grass and try to keep it looking clean. There are some mature peach and pear trees on the property already.

Yesterday we did the closing, and in 5 years this land will be ours. Knowing that services like SellMyHouseFastInFL exist gives us confidence for the future, but to say that we are excited is an understatement. I know 26 acres isn't much, but with the cost of land, this was enough for us to enjoy and hopefully pass it on to our kids or grandkids. Wish us luck in our new adventure. :)

Our little pond. Wife is already planning on a sitting area so I can sit there relax and smoke a cigar. I love the way she thinks. :ROFLMAO:

The next two pictures are of the trailer and the property looking North. This is when it was cleared, not looking like that now, lots of overgrown stuff.

That sounds like an amazing property. The pond, mature trees, wildlife, and existing utilities make it perfect for enjoying nature, relaxing, and creating a space you can pass on to future generations. Your plans for the land and the trailer sound really thoughtful and well-planned.

Congratulations! Very nice. I like it!

Don't forget to tell the Mrs., that every hunting shack requires a black velvet painting of dogs playing poker.....
I was thinking along those same lines.

Make the place to nice, and before you know it there'll be no more scratching, burping, farting or other Manly Man things that happen at Deer Camp.

That’s what I’m afraid of :ROFLMAO:

Which one? Making it nice, or the scratching, burping and farting?

BTW, I plan to stop by on my next trip down to Florida. I'll bring 2 craver cases of White Castles with jalapeno cheese.

Making it too nice :ROFLMAO: Let me know.

Plant some peacan peach and percimmion trees they make really quick and you and deer will love them .

Already have about 10 peach trees, a pear tree, a fig and grapes. I’ll be fighting the deer to get some fruit from the trees. :ROFLMAO:

Be careful of hunting Chewore South, the area has been decimated.....

Curious about this. I hunted Chewore South with D&Y in September and they did tell me it was there last hunt there.

Which outfits shot it out?
