Gents,
I have my third South Africa hunt booked for the East Cape in May 2017. It looks like my flight itinerary allows for another 3 to 3 1/2 days of hunting. I have considered, and am still considering, just booking more days with my outfitter; however, I would like to see another farm and meet some more people. Therefor, I am putting this out for offer.

Looking for three to three and a half day hunt, plus a travel day to PLZ.
The hunt can be a cull hunt or one that includes trophies.
As much as anything, I am looking to see new ground and have a good time. At this point, I am the only hunter. No observers.
The main outfitter is taking most of my budget, so value is a must. A cape bush buck could get my interest. If you have an exceptional klipspringer, Vaal rhebok, or Cape Grysbok, I could be further tempted. If you came up with an oribi permit, I likely would run around the house to look for things to sell, including body parts! Probably the best scenario would be a cull hunt which included one of the trophies I mentioned.

I would enjoy a tent camp or rustic accommodations. Fancy meals are not needed. Meat, bread, and beer (2-3 a night) is really all I need.

Here is my unconfirmed itinerary:
Arrival in PE on May 17, 2017
Leave PE on May 27, 2017

I can add the three day hunt in the beginning (May 17 travel, then hunt three days, meet another outfitter on May 23).
OR
I can add this hunt at the end (May 23 meet, hunt 3 days, then travel to PE(PLZ) on May 27).

I will finalize flight details in January. Dates may change slightly (though I don't expect them to). I will also make my final decision at that time on adding the hunt.

PM's are best.

Thanks much,
Randy

Will shoot you a PM Randy. :)

I will tell my wife you said so. works for me!!!! LOL

Hopefully - to help clear some things up.

I don't have anything specific in mind for this hunt other than value. If you have a run on some critter that need culling, make me an offer. If you have a slammer vaal rhebok, we can make this a single species hunt and focus on him for the entire three days.

Also, I know this short hunt may be a pain in the arse for some folks, no worries. Just move along. If you have a few days open and they match up, let's talk.

I think I do a decent job of writing up my experience and posting. It will be an honest write up.
If we agree to a camp out, I wont bitch about the conditions. If we agree to a five star suite and I get a camp out, I will likely lay it out there. As long as we are all honest and up front, it is all good and will be handled as such.

I hope that helps.

I must run to work now.
Randy

Will send you a pm with an offer Randy

At the risk of posting unsolicited advice, were it me in your shoes this is exactly what I'd do.

Barbary Sheep!

For those that have been kind enough to send PM's, I thank you. I will get back to you in time.

I have three daughters, one of which is learning disabled and who is now experiencing some extreme mental health issues. She had a mental health breakdown last night and I will be focused on her for awhile.

I will be checking PM's and emails but likely will not get back for a while. Thank you for your patience.

Randy

I retire in a few years and I hope to go for a Dall sheep in BC or Alaska.

Why not do Barbary while on Eastern Cape. Be the cheapest sheep you'll ever hunt. Pretty cool hunt in some tough mountains and free-range to boot.

Hi Randy,
I would throw my name into the hat, but I am fully booked for those dates.

All the best with you hunt and please send my best to your family.

Take Care,
Marius

Keep well, your families health is more important.

Hope things go well for your daughter. Family FIRST. Best of luck and happy holidays. Bruce

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
