USA: The Moose Of A Lifetime (73.75") SW Alaska

Thanks to all for the well wishes. And I did not go without: I have a lot of moose in the freezer. He and I made a habit of taking turns through the years and splitting it 50/50.

I LOVE watching a big bull come in aggressively; it never gets old. To have seen two do so within 48 hours was super cool. Living where I do is a huge blessing that I never want to take for granted.

It's definitely a bull of a lifetime. Well done calling that bull in for your buddy.

Wow a great bull, congratulations to your friend!

I am not sure if this will work, but here's a link to a photo album my non-hunting buddy took during our trip, including the "smaller" bull that my hunting buddy passed on, two nights before the one he shot.

Amazing! Thanks for sharing!

WOW!! The one animal I would love to hunt outside of Africa.....congrats

Getting a good bull is certainly not a guarantee, but it's certainly within the realm of possible. If that's a goal or a dream, make it happen good sir. :)

what a great country where there are such animals.

p.s. a salmon that is already so red, can you still eat it?

Some of the natives collect and put up salmon when they are that far along in the spawning, particularly the sockeyes (reds). I have not had spawned out salmon. Frankly, I don't care for salmon at all. But friends who otherwise like salmon say they don't care for it when they are this far along. Again, it's more of a native thing. They're still fun to catch though.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
