When you feel a bit peckish, fancy something quick and easy that turns out to be a real winner. I am an incurable snacker, here is one I do often:
Spread a generous amount of fish paste (Anchovette or Redro etc) on your buttered toast. Add sliced gherkin and finish off with several shakes of Tobasco. Cut into quarters because halves go too quickly.

A favorite for me is pickle loaf on cheap white bread with ketchup.
Another would be fried bologna (Kentucky Round Steak) with swiss cheese, grilled.
A really quick snack is sardines on crackers.

Wedge of Emmentaler cheese with a slice or two of prosciutto or Black Forest ham with an ice cold glass of a Sancerre (Loire Sauvignon Blanc) or Franken Sylvaner.

Now we’re talking!

For my taste, cucumbers in sandwiches should be salted, not pickled (without vinegar).

Chunk of smoked Alaska salmon and a thick slice of Coastal English Sharp Cheddar cheese on the side with tortilla chips and a hard boiled egg with butter salt. Add a hot cup of tea, finish with a chocolate chip cookie and fresh pineapple chunks. My favorite lunch.

A treat when in London is a walk up Jermyn Street, Davidoff and Beretta are at the top end on either corner. That sets the tone for the rest of your interesting amble and as you get towards the far end there is a cheese merchants that have been there since gas lamps lit the street. As you walk in you are assaulted by a most delicious stink, and the chief culprit is Stinking Bishop. Pay for your slice, a box of melba toast and rush back to your hotel room for a trip to heaven.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!
