A interesting video I came across.

Alex Crawford joins a trophy hunter on a kill in Namibia. The government there issues licences as the huge revenue generated goes to fund anti-poaching initiatives and conservation projects. Despite people paying great amounts to hunt elephants, populations of the animal are increasing in Namibia. Could trophy hunting be the answer?

Very good! I just wish more "antis" would pay attention to Namibia's results.

Very powerful news story.

That was a very informative documentary. Unfortunately for us it is merely more truth that will be unheralded by the antis. The only "glitch" I heard was that dozens and dozens of villagers got he meat. What it didn't say was how many got to eat it or for how long. We can only beat the drum loud enough and long enough for others to hear it.

Thanks for sharing. Very moving stuff seeing the PH talk about elephant conservation

Wow! Being in the US, I'm not used to seeing media being that fair and fact based to hunters. Well done to everyone involved with this- network, reporter, and the PH and hunter.

Interesting that the reporter noted it took TWO YEARS to get an agreement to film the hunt. All things considered it was a fairly balanced clip.

I can certainly understand why anyone from the US would not want the exposure. But I agree that it's interesting that it took so long. I wonder if they solicited other outfitters.

To get a volunteer and then also to get enough trust in the reporter and then have all the lawyers work it out on paper.
After all the hatchet jobs that have been done, I would certainly want some guarantees in writing.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
