I picked up 5 of these broad heads at a good price. These will be on the business end of my compound bow arrows making them weigh in at 528 grains. In my opinion they are near perfection. Hardened machined tool steel, a great length to width ratio. While more expensive than replaceable blade broad heads, unless lost they should out last me and a few generations to come.

I´ve been using 2 and 3 bladed VPA 125 grains for a long time, excelente broadhead and easy to sharpen (the 3 blade)

Great broadheads. I have used these myself on a safari in 2014. Took a Zebra and an impala. I think the profile of the 150 grain is ideal. Good length that would seem to help with penetration. A solid chunk of steel and easy to sharpen and reuse.

I used the 250 VPA's on a buffalo this past July, full penetration, stuck out 6 inches on far side. 300yds, done deal. Great broadhead for sure.

300 yards? I am guessing you meant 30 yards.

Nope, he went almost 300 yards before piling up. Running with a herd otherwise, I don't think he would have gone so far.

They are super easy to sharpen. Unless badly dulled from a dirt and rock strike, a few swipes on a diamond hone does the trick. I finish mine CAREFULLY and lightly on the side of paper knife sharpening wheel with white polishing compound al low speed.

We're your 250 grain heads 2 or 3 blade?

I have been shooting 175 grain 3 blade broadheahs for quite a while, had 1 head I killed 25 big game animals with it before I lost it.
By far the best broadhead I have ever shot. Forrest

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
