@gizmo is in Amarillo. Top of Texas Taxidermy

I would love to help you! Is the horned frog a reference to TCU?

another +1 for @gizmo ... He's got my sika deer from Ireland currently, and will have my red stag and elk from New Zealand shortly..

Im in DFW.. its worth it to me to use @gizmo over near Amarillo..

Gizmo did a great job on my elk!!!

Looking for a quality taxidermy shop in North Texas if possible.

I'm questioning what the appropriate beverage would be to pair with smoked horn frog....but outside of that @gizmo has done work for me in the past, is currently working on some more and will again on yet more when my horns/hides from Mozambique last year make it to his shop.

Do your lifesize mount prices include the base or is that an extra cost? @gizmo

Another one for @gizmo , I dropped some backskins off in his shop in 2023 and he had a sable that he was working on in the shop and it was absolutely amazing.

@gizmo has done multiple safaris for me.

You’ve also got a fair number of shops in the Houston area who do a lot of African Taxidermy work and are well known/respected in safari circles nationwide like Brush Country, Conroe Taxidermy, B&B Taxidermy and Tri-State Taxidermy. In the San Angelo area, you have Safari Studios who does some outstanding African mounts.

No sir, There are too many variables as to what one wants to have a set base price. Base can range from a couple hundred bucks up to a lot if I'm building half the continent in your living room.

Thank you. I figured that was the case but I have seen some where it is included for a basic type of base and then they provide pictures of the type of base you can expect for their price. So I wanted to ask that question just to make sure.

All of my bases and habitat's are completely custom. I do not use a bunch of pre-fab McKenzie junk. We build our own bases and our own habitats.

Highly recommend Gizmo. Let me know if you need to see his work. He did all the animals from my 2022 safari, and when I look at them, they bring a smile to my face. Here is my Kudu.

This is a pair of teal with a custom pedestal base that Gizmo did for me... And he crated and shipped it from Amarillo to Washington State without damage....
