Hi all, I’m an amateur hunter based out of Indiana looking to get into the taxidermy game. I’m looking to purchase a decent piece for a moderate price as a new decoration. Let me know if you have anything for sale.

Perhaps a bit more information as to what kind of taxidermy are you looking for. ie. American, African, etc, animals; full body, half body, shoulder, or pedestal, mount; large/big, medium, or small game; fish, birds, reptile, exotic/non typical, typical/symmetrical game animals, hides, horns, antlers, bone, etc, etc. Size of space/area you want to display the mount.

Search online for taxidermy auctions, there are several companies that advertise in the SCI journal that auction taxidermy from collections for hunter’s estates or their families

eBay has mounts for sale

There was a two day auction in Fort Worth recently, taxidermy was CHEAP. Very nice full mount Bongo $1500.
Full mount male lion $5k. Plaines game $200-$300. I bought some elephant leather.
Lions, leopards etc. you needed to be a Texas resident.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
