So my crate with taxidermy is at LAX.....has been for a week now.....waiting on USFWS to clear the trophies....I love the U.S. government's dedication to efficiency!

I love the governments common sense to charges for the traveling hunting and how they follow CITES...HEAVY SARCASM

The process moves ever so slowly forward....USFWS has cleared the trophies, just needs to clear customs. I would think this last one would be the least challenging.

a couple years ago, I had mine shipped to New Orleans. I think it took a day, maybe the next day to clear USFW. I don't imagine they get
near the numbers of crates to check, though, which is part of the reason I chose New Orleans.

I feel your pain Phil. Hope they get it sorted out sooner than later but I'm sticking with my 2 week estimate.

Good luck Phil!!!

At least it is closer....

Almost home!

Still waiting......

It is a state of being when you are dealing with Taxidermy and Transportation.

I don't know Wayne....I'm thinking it's more of a less than flattering submissive position.

I think this pic captures the essence of my thoughts:

Indeed

So me and the younger boy set out for LAX last evening on the hopes that the crate would clear customs. About an hour after we left we got the call it did. Got into the flea bag motel at about midnight. Got to Delta cargo this morning, a bit of wait, but those folks were pretty efficient and very friendly. Got asked twice about the animals I got. Back home now with a living room full of plastic wrapped heads. And then the garage door breaks......

If it isn't one thing it is another!!!!

We will try and wait patiently for the pics.... :)

Garage door repairman on his way. First animal is one that Austin got one night hunting with Jacques while I was sleeping. This is actually the first time I've seen it.

Any guesses as to what it is because I rarely here this animal spoken of?

House cat??? ;)

I have no idea...

Glad the trophies made it to their new home. Get the door fixed so we may have more trophy picture porn...

I'm thinking house cat, too.

Where did you get your work done? Was the timeline and service satisfactory? Which shipper and method did you use?

Not a house cat. Moredou taxidermy, more on details later. For now....

Hey Odinsraven. Is that post from Jefferry 404 legitimate? I don't know him. Thanks!

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
