Straight Pull Rifles?

Wife and I have Blaser R8’s and really enjoy them. Another advantage of the Blaser design over the others is the capability of using a wider variety of DG cartridges that aren’t available in many other straight pull options.

416RM, 458LOTT & 500J are all available and can be shot with the same receiver that you use for 22lr practice.

I have a list somewhere with all the advantages of the R8 over other designs. Suffice to say that if I made a list for it, it’s significant.

Found it…

Blaser Positive Points
1. Quick takedown for easy travel.
2. Magazine on top of trigger group shortening the rifle by 4".
3. Best factory trigger I've ever had at 2#.
4. QD scope mount that holds zero.
5. Scope mounted on the barrel for more consistent accuracy and return to zero.
6. Excellent factory iron sights.
7. Decocking safety mechanism that is arguably the safest in the industry.
8. One stock for any caliber from 17HMR to 500J.
9. Multiple barrel contours for the same caliber, further customizing your fit.
10. Kickstop easily added to help with felt recoil.
11. Mix and match components as you please to find the right balance for you.
12. Timber, synthetic, thumbhole, adjustable...etc stocks available.
13. Easy resale of most components you don't need along with good deals being found on the used market.
14. Incredible accuracy with factory ammo.
15. Incredibly reliable, I've shot thousands of rounds with no failures.
16. Do I need to mention how fast they reload?
17. Dealer support.
18. Aftermarket barrels, stocks, scope mounts and accessories.

I was looking at a Savage Impulse. Thinking I might need a new light caliber rifle for yotes.
I built a semi custom 6mm AI on a savage impulse a couple years back. It’s the best savage action in my opinion. And after getting broken in, very slick. I’ll find a pic and post it.

My semi custom savage impulse 6mm ai with 26” proof sendero contour. They don’t have to be hideous, I kind of like the way mine looks. It’s also my most accurate hunting rifle, routinely shoots .3 moa with a 100 grain tipped game king. I like it because i can throw it in a canvas scabbard and slip it in front of my cake box on my feed pickup or the toolbox on my farm pickup and not care that it’s getting bounced around or beat on.

I think you will like it and you can't go wrong with Beretta. Straight pull is superior for hunting because it's faster. People will get mad at that fact just like they get mad when someone explains that the .375 Ruger is superior to the H&H. You don't have to like it but it's just a fact!
If you like to go for it!

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.
