Sportmen for Trump

Erik, I respect your strong feelings on this. However, running a government is not easy. "Throw all the bums out" sounds enticing, but almost all the early supporters of term limits have decided that wasn't such a good idea after all. Our system of government is based upon compromising sources of power. I would agree that my party has not used its base power as effectively as it could have over the last seven years, but what would you have had them do? Truly shut down government? Put the black guy in his place? That is exactly how it would have been spun and how 60% of your fellow citizens would have perceived it. And don't kid yourself, the first undelivered social security check would have been our party's fault, not Obama's.

My concern with Trump is that I have no earthly idea what he really intends to do or how he intends to do it. He is just going to make it all "wonderful" again. That frankly scares the hell out of me. And the fact that he seemingly has created a cult of personality around himself scares me even more. We, fortunately, have little experience with that in our republic, but history is replete with the type. And don't lecture me about being "ignorant". I actually know a bit about how this whole thing really works. Maybe as much as you? His list of judges has helped - probably a lot. And the notion of voting for a modern day Evita Peron is more than I can stomach whatever Trump's ignorance of Trade, Monetary, and Foreign policy might be. But don't ask me to like it, or to jump blindly, or happily, on the bandwagon.
The ignorance comment wasn't directed at you Red Leg. Point made though. What I'm trying to say is if your starving and don't like Turnips and that's all you have, well then Turnips aren't so bad. It would be self defeatist, ignorant, to starve.
Yes I am passionate because we have a choice to let the country further slip away. in this case the sky won't fall tomorrow but the current climate is like a plague. Slowly it infects people one at a time until BAM we're all in it. This is exactly how the socialists in this country have set it up and We the People are playing right into it.
I am whole heartedly for term limits, people made the same arguments pre-FDR. After that it didn't seem like such a bad idea. Everyone has a finite amount of usefulness politically speaking. These dinosaurs need to go.
I'm not nieve, I understand governments are difficult to run. I work for the government as I know you did so yes, I get it.
I'm not saying you have to like it. In reality it's absolutely none of my business who you vote for not what you believe. My simple point is we have two choices. That's it, like it or not. I'll take, for arguments sake, the lesser of two evils.
Much of my rant has come from many peoples rumblings of ,"well my guy didn't get it so I'm taking my toys and going home". That in my opinion is ignorant, petty, and childish. It will also ensure one more step closer to LOOSING this country. Maybe not today or tomorrow but our kids will wake up and wonder what in the hell we left them with in their lifetime.
I also get pretty fired up about the whole how did we get to this point mentality.
1) we're here, get over it and do what you can to get people's mindset back on track.
2) We got here because of the blaring weakness in the republican leadership. It's our fault, we've allowed these spineless weasels to stay in office.
As far as a gov't shut down is concerned, it won't be the first or the last time that has/will happen. I really don't give a damn how the media or liberals spin it. That goes back to being weak and spineless. Had our republican house and senate been passing bills daily to combat this nonsense and put proposals forward to get budgets etc... Passed and let OBAMA veto them then it's pretty clear where the fault lies. Yet they haven't done that. They've stood back and played nice and let the left, who are the minority run the country.
And for the big one- the whole,"putting the black guy in his place" is your words not mine. Does he need to be put in check, absolutely that's their job. It doesn't make one bit of damn difference what color he is to me. I could care less if he's green with purple polka dots.
Government is all about checks and balances. The last 8 years has seen none of this. Voters did a pretty good job of pointing that out when the republicans win back the senate in 12 by an overwhelming response. Yet still here we are, nothing's changed and the spineless weasels who are leading the party have done very little to stop it. I think that's pretty clear evidence of how we ended up with the choices we have.

I just find it almost impossible to believe that the country worked itself into a position where the choice is Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump. Only in America.

May we never have such marginal candidates again.

Read on The Economist, May 14th issue

A survey of American military personnel found that Donald trump was the preferred presidential candidate among people on active duty. Support for him was twice that for the democratic front runner, Hillary Clinton. On a negative note for both, over a fifth said they would rather not vote in November if the choice was between the two.

I find Trump to be one of the most despicable human beings I've encountered in my six decades on this earth.

He violates almost every principle to being a man that my father raised me to believe in.

If I voted for Trump, I'd never be able to look myself in the mirror. I plan to vote Libertarian this year. Go, Gary Johnston! Or whatever his name is.

hes a godsend compared to the hag and slick, remember, you get them both.

+1

And the reason to vote for Hillary is what?

If a third-party vote is indeed a vote for Hillary, then I'm voting for Hillary. No power on earth could get me to vote for Trump.

I've heard all the arguments, Supreme Court, etc., and I still won't vote for that detestable man. Court appointments are only one of the roles of the chief executive. I do not like Hillary--she's anti-gun and I consider her ethically challenged, to say the least--and won't be voting for her either. I don't agree that a vote for Gary Whats-his-name is a vote for her. But if you insist that it is, consider this: I would vote for her before I'd vote for him.

So call my third-party vote, if you insist on a false dichotomy, a vote for Trump; at least it will take away a vote for her.

I don't understand how anyone who believes in the USA - the Constitution, Bill of rights, and the good citizens, could be a democrat. barry sorento or whatever his name is, hillary are evil. I'll be surprised if anyone can un do the damage barry has caused.

If you really cannot bring yourself, however difficult it may be and it will be for many of us, to vote for Trump, then I personally would prefer you and other anti Trumpers sit this one out. A vote for any other than Trump is a vote FOR Hideous Hillary. Voting for 3rd parties is simply masturbatory. It feels good briefly but just leaves a mess in the end. I fell for it once, then I grew up and realized the folly of it.

Food for thought…

“You can’t get the water to clear up until you get the pigs out of the creek”. – West Virginia saying.

It doesn’t matter if you love or hate Trump, the following is just logic and partially explains his popularity. I didn’t write this and am not saying I necessarily agree with it, but the core of his popularity is because of this.
The establishment is petrified of him, both sides. If he were to actually get elected, the gravy train would abruptly stop for a lot of insiders. Does it scare you that he would have his finger on “the button”? Maybe, but it will also scare the crap out of our enemies.
When was the last time you could vote for the ideal candidate? I’m old, and I always voted. I can’t remember ever thinking any were ideal. We always have two choices, usually Tweedledee and Tweedledum. If you didn’t vote for Tweedledee you got Tweedledum. That’s the way it is folks.
Now consider this……An interesting analogy. You've been on vacation for two weeks, you come home, and your basement is infested with raccoons. Hundreds of rabid, messy, mean, raccoons have overtaken your basement. You want them gone immediately, so you hire a guy. A pro.
You don't care if the guy smells, you need those raccoons gone pronto and he's the guy to do it! You don't care if the guy swears, you don't care if he's an alcoholic, you don't care how many times he's been married, you don't care if he has plumber's crack... you simply want those raccoons gone! You want your problem fixed! He's the guy. He's the best. Period.
That's why Trump…. Yes, he's a bit of an ass. Yes, he's an egomaniac, but you don't care. The country is a mess because politicians are playing games and we are all sick and tired of useless people!
The Democrats are killing us, the Republican Party is gutless, liberals don’t have a clue, and illegals are everywhere. You want it all fixed!
You don't care that Trump is crude, you don't care that he insults people, you don't care that he once had been friendly with Hillary, you don't care that he's been married 3 times, you don't care that he fights with Megyn Kelly or Rosie O'Donnell, you don't care that he doesn't know the name of some Muslim terrorist,...this country is weak, bankrupt, our enemies are making fun of us, we are being invaded by illegals, we are becoming a nation of victims where every Tom, Ricardo and Hamid is a special group with special rights to a point where we don’t even recognize the country we were born and raised in; “AND WE JUST WANT IT FIXED”.
Trump is the only guy who seems to understand what the people want. You're sick of politicians, sick of the Democratic Party, the Republican Party, and sick of illegals. You just want this thing fixed.
Trump may not be a saint, but no person or company he has ever done business with has come forward and called him corrupt, or hard to do business with. He doesn’t have lobbyist money holding him, and he doesn’t have political correctness restraining him.
All you know is that he has been well educated at the university of Pennsylvania business school, seems to have boundless energy, has been very successful, a good negotiator, he has built a lot of things, and he's not a cowardly, deceitful, professional, politician. And he says he'll fix it.
You don't care if the guy has bad hair. You just want those raccoons gone. Out of your house!. Now!!!!

I totally agree with it! Its brilliant. I think it describes exactly how many of us feel about our current state of politics.

So he pours five gals of gas in the basement and lights a match to rid the house of the raccoons......... Analogies are wonderfully flexible things.

id love to watch the hag and slick burn with those rabid racoons.

The way I look at it, with Trump we have a 50% chance he'll actually be Conservative. Clinton is guaranteed 100% un American. I have to say, I wonder if it wouldn't be better to elect Clinton, finish running this country into the ground, then Conservatives can sit around and ferment discontent like liberals do. Conservatives need to devote the time to fighting back.

not on my watch,please.

Not sure your price range. Have a 375 H&H with a muzzle brake. Nice rifle only fired a few times. Also a Mossberg 375 Ruger its been used and shows a few hunts on it.
