I met up with Pieter from Bandur Hunting Safaris in SA at the SCI show last year and was intrigued with his operation. Does anyone have any experience hunting with him? I am interested in taking my wife who also hunts but is not so keen on traveling out of the country. Thanks in advance for any feedback

Hi tjere
I havent hunted with Pieter but i do know him and he is a stand up guy
You sure not to have any hassles

Regards

Thank you for your reply. We found Pieter and his wife Eloise very pleasant and would like to book with him. However I was unable to reach many of his references.
I'm trying to do a little research before is book

Always speak to references sir! If you can't contact given references that could well be a Red flag. Keep trying to contact them because on the flip side of the coin they could have just the positive information you desire.

Keep in mind references are some times are friends of the hunting company.
Ask for a list and you chose who you contact.
If you have doubts don't walk away.

I have personally hunted with Pieter at Bandur Safaris and my son and husband are there for the 2nd time right now. We have another large group trip planned with them next summer as well. We have hunted at other lodges and there has been NO COMPARISON to the amount of animals we were able to see/stalk/etc at Bandur. The amount of land and variety of animals is amazing. I am not a big hunter so although I did hunt 2 animals, I spent one day in a blind with my camera simply shooting HUNDREDS of animals that visited for a drink at the watering hole. The staff is amazing from the private hunters to the kitchen/cleaning staff. Pieter, Eloise, and their 2 young sons are lovely to be around and every hunt with Pieter is exciting. He has such an amazing love for what he does that it is infectious even to someone like me that isn't a big hunter! Travelling to South Africa is truly one of the best adventures that I have ever been on and I highly suggest you make Bandur your lodge of choice. My husband and I would be happy to be of any further assistance if any of you want more info!

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
