I doubt that Joe Bidet knows it, but "Pardon Me" is not correct etiquette. I Beg Your Pardon is the correct use of Pardon, but my impression of Hunter is that he considers himself above having to beg anything from anyone.
If Dad lets anything get that far in the investigation it is likely the "Pardon" is pre written up awaiting a signature.
What is the common defense claims in court? He had a rough childhood blah blah blah.

Back in the day, pre-Obama Care, student loans were straight forward. You filled out an application, it went to a lender and the government guaranteed the loan. When you started to pay to back the lender, the lender sold the loan to Sally Mae and you paid Sally Mae with a fix rate of interest and investors purchased Sally Mae securities.

Now, Obama Care nationalized Student loans and the government is the lender. (Which has nothing to do with health care, other than Medical School student loans. [Which Hillary said could force more Medical Students into family practice and away from Specialties]) Now, no one wants to pay back the government what they freely borrowed. I have paid for myself three College degrees and paying now one for my daughter. But now I also have to pay for other kids loans too according the the Socialists. We are about to run out of income producers for all the free riders.
If they follow the Elizabeth Warren AKA Pocahontas claim they can get a free education.
It is how you game the system.
In this day and age it is a legitimate excuse not to know what the word 'Loan" means.

If student loans are "forgiven" the taxpayer won't be paying them off as is the common conception. What will happen is the govt/fed will merely make line entries as payments to the lenders to pay-off the loans. the government will merely invent the money to pay off/forgive the debts. For those that keep track of such things, the national debt will be increased by 1-2 trillion dollars with no increase in goods/services. The result will be that everything will cost at least 10% more, so the ones "hurt" most by the activity will be those with little discretionary income who live from paycheck or welfare check to paycheck. Once again, the political party that claims to stand for the "little guy" and working class are stabbing them in the back for the benefit of the children of the party's donors.

Wonder what @Vashper has to say about this.....

BBC News - A Ukrainian father's terrifying journey to a Russian prison and back
Vashper and all the other Russian oligarch hunters who are Putin’s friends who have been winning lots of hunting awards from GSCO and SCI should be ostracized. Most have been neck-deep in the Russian kleptocracy of stealing money from the common Russian people who have a mean annual income of $1000.

I haven't watched news coming out of Zimbabwe, but is the government expecting an attack of bombers?

Ultimately, if any of the debt is ever paid off, the taxpayers are on the hook for all of this BS, including punting on student loan debt.
If its going to be paid, the taxpayers will pay it. Govt doesnt actually have any money until they steal it from us.
They can print it but its basically worthless Its all a scam.

Regarding Kennedy (above quote)... I generally think he often says a whole lot of words to get to his eventual point (when I see him interviewed). But that questioning of Choudhery for the federal court position... that was just beautiful. I wanted to stand and applaud. My guess is it had no actual impact on keeping a cop hating liar from the bench, but Kennedy was on his game.

Joe was always good at taking other guy's ideas.

Kennedy likes to portray himself as a mix of country bumpkin lawyer and Will Rodgers philosopher. People underestimate him at their own risk, because the guy is actually super smart.

After graduating from Zachary High School as co-valedictorian in 1969, he entered Vanderbilt University, where his interdepartmental major was in political science, philosophy and economics. He graduated magna cum laude.

At Vanderbilt, Kennedy was elected president of his senior class and named to Phi Beta Kappa. He received a Juris Doctor in 1977 from the University of Virginia School of Law in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he was an executive editor of the Virginia Law Review and elected to the Order of the Coif.[3] In 1979, he earned a Bachelor of Civil Law degree with first class honours from Magdalen College, Oxford.

I believe if current student loans are "forgiven" by any large amount, it'll open up "pandoras box"? Why shouldn't those that PAID OFF their loans before be reimbursed now? And many students entering college will believe they can make a career out of college for 4-10 years with some nebulous degree assuming the taxpayers will pay for it all sometime in the future. I work with a guy whose wife has $100k in student loans for a Phd degree in psychology. She's had several jobs over the last several years for various reasons and because they're "harder" than being a career college student and none of which pay enough to pay that loan off for YEARS! So why should I and every other taxpayer pay off her loan or anyone else's for making a "poor life decision" in running up that kind of student loan debt?

I totally get how he's presenting himself - that it's purposeful - and didn't really mean that to be a criticism. It just seems to me that he can be a wee bit verbose during interviews.
