Republicans lose a Pennsylvania house seat that has been held by Republicans for 30 years. Butler county, where Trump won by 18 points.
The Democrat won (unofficially) by 88 votes

Why?

Because the turnout was only 31.9%

And, if we do not show up to vote in Nov, the next two years are going to be very painful.

Now RLD and BigRasy are playing gaslight tag with each other… hoping for an audience I guess. Both need to spend some “quality” time in another world- I suggest a slum in Delhi or Manila or a rural area in a third world country where average “folx” :) have zero money, sweep dirt floors, raise kids and get along. Not as a tourist either!! Both, along with some of our Scandinavian friends here need a dose of reality!

Personally, I think they are one in the same person.
I put the toxic troll trio on ignore. They are not worth engaging with.
He/she is only here to provoke argument, and get his/her jollies by doing so.
Not sure why many here are encouraging those worthless arguments with engagement?

I don't know why Trump feels the need to put his thumb on the scale at almost every election. Let the people choose.

This happened in the Oklahoma governors Republican primary race as well.

Drummond- moderate Republican, really more old line Democrat with name recognition.

Mazzei- conservative Republican that can’t communicate and stumbles over his words.

Keating- Conservative Republican, articulate, self made oilman, energetic in his 40’s.

Trump endorses Mazzei.

Without Trumps endorsement Keating is in the runoff with Drummond and easily wins.

Now we have a coin flip between two marginal candidates. Oklahoma could have done much better.

What amazes me is how a lot of people are like lemmings, blindly follow without any critical thinking. Trump probably has not even been to OK, not any Trump golf courses there.

I have mixed emotions about kicking people off all Willy nilly who post wonky stuff.
Or snarky comments. Opinions are like noses you can pick yours, but not theirs.
There is a kid who has intellectual disabilities , who post on this and other social platforms. Even though he is ridiculous imo he still has a voice ( after all we aren’t communists! ( at least most of us aren’t )
Use of ignore button is advised when you’re annoyed by a person ( don’t feed the trolls it only makes them more hungry)
Speaking of disabilities...

You have Zimbabwe listed under ‘Countries Hunted,’ yet you’ve never hunted in Africa. How exactly does that work? Does compulsively lying about where you’ve hunted count as a intellectual disability? Just wondering.

My son and I went to the 2023 NCAA wrestling championships in Tulsa and Trump showed up as a guest of Senator Mullins, so he has been here. I do get your sentiments. He may be hard pressed to find us on a map.

Yep agreed. I do have both on ignore. But, if you sign off the site, all the “ignored” posts re-appear. I tend to stay signed-off most of the time but all the junk shows up if simply perusing without signing in.

I think you are right Brent! It’s best to not engage and I for one will not anymore with the toxic troll.

So the root cause of inner-city black on black crime, poverty, and prison is (no father in the home) and a destruction of the black nuclear family due to Democrat policies.
Thankfully your political opinion was debunked in an earlier post. Out-of-wedlock births and single-mother/fatherless homes were all increasing prior to LBJs great society programs being enacted in the late 60s. They increased dramatically around the time of Nixon's war on drugs against "hippies and negros" in the early 1970s, at the start of mass incarceration, and continued increasing for decades. Interesting how incarceration peaked around 2010/11, and so too did fatherless homes and out-of-wedlock births. What a massive coincidence this all must be! At least now it appears to be going back down.

Interesting how if you stop throwing men in jail for bullshit reasons there are more fathers at home and not in prison. You know European countries spend almost twice as much on their social welfare programs as a percentage of their GDPs vs. the US, but their single parent/fatherless household rates are lower than ours. If it was just about the welfare, than we should see much higher rates of these households over there, but we don't.
