Says usa fighter jet/jets crashed in Kuwait....not seen it reported elsewhere...

Its on CNN aswell, according to the article "Kuwait's defense ministry says "several" US military aircraft have crashed, all crews survived" https://edition.cnn.com/world/live-...26-intl-hnk?post-id=cmm8vj2iw00083b6q1rwapkve

Apparently Kuwait air defense did indeed hit three F-15E fighter bombers. Thankfully, all six crew members seem to have ejected safely. Kuwait operates the Patriot air defense system, so that is the most likely culprit. I would assume the US aircraft were not attempting to jam the Kuwaiti defensive systems.

This is the sort of thing that makes coalition operations really difficult. In this case it is also being done on the fly as the Gulf nations are attempting to defend themselves from Iranian attacks. I think we can also assume that Kuwaiti weapons control and crew training are not to the same standard as ours.

Hopefully CENTCOM can quickly get fire control and air tasking under a single command.

Operator error is likely the cause, be that of the Patriot operators or lack of coordinated Command and Control.

Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) Mark XII system employs an Interrogator on the sensor (radar) and a transponder on the aircraft. IFF is in use by NATO forces. I hope the Kuwaitis also use it.

All commercial civilian aircraft squawk a reply to a IFF Mode III interrogation. Military aircraft have Mode IV to identify them as friendly. In the 80’s and 90’s, USMC aircraft rarely had their Mode IV working but during Desert Storm, every bird heading over our ship toward Kuwaiti airspace squawked Mode IV. Mode IV used classified codes that were changed every 6-hours under 2-person integrity.

My guess is the wrong codes were punched into the Kuwaiti Patriot interrogator, or that it simply was configured incorrectly. Of course, it may not have been turned on. Whatever the mistake was, it was pretty darn expensive!

They say, 20% of world oil passes through these sea-lanes in peacetime.

Suez canal was closed for 8 years till open, 1967-1975. I hope this will last shorter.

I watched stammering Starmer trying to weasel word his stance on the current Iran operation, after the fact. What in the world is up with that idiot? No wonder Britain is in such a downslide.

It’s more than obvious that my hunting trip to South Africa this March won’t be happening.
I was supposed to leave on March 6, but quite obviously, because of Donald and other impotent fools like him, I’ll just have to stay home.
Once again, thanks, Donald and company.

Why can you not go?

I'd imagine that he booked flights through the Middle East.

The flight has been canceled
Due to military activity following the attack on Iran and, of course, Iran’s response.
Well, anyway, I hope they end this war as soon as possible and that the world returns to at least some degree of normalcy.

Obviously Donald trump is solely responsible and the leadership of Iran shares non of the blame for committing atrocities against its people.

Don't you know, when I got a hangnail yesterday it was Trumps fault.

Where are you located that you can't figure out how to fly out through Europe, Ethiopia or Atlanta?

There are several routes that take you to joberg and avoid the Middle East…

Assuming your airline refunded you because of cancellation, why not rebook United direct from Newark to Joberg, Delta direct from Atlanta to Joberg, or any of the Europe routes like American to London to Joberg, United to Frankfurt to Joberg, KLM to Amsterdam to Joberg, etc etc…

My preferred route is Qatar from DFW to Doha to Joberg… but if that were off the table I’ve flown most of the other options at one point or another and have gotten there just fine…

I suppose next time Trump should check on your schedule first, so your holidays are safe, before deposing a dictator and trying to free a people from a totalitarian regime.

Your on your own if I defend trump more than once a day I fear I’ll spontaneously grow a red hat.

Why? Unless you make your home on the Persian Gulf, simply change your flight.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
