Pretty hilarious post regarding the Washington Post employees that were laid off bemoaning their fate.
I thought the lion king video was funny as hell, however, Trump needs to focus on the mid terms, and maintaining control of the House & Senate.
Don't give the Democrats any reason to get their voter base fired up.
Not that it takes much provoking for the flying monkey's to start screeching about something stupid
People just have to see the whole video about the Obama's as apes. It is a lion king parody with Biden as as baboon, Schiff as a giraffe and Trump as the lion king. But ofcourse they cut only a small part out of it to brand him as a racist. Some people never lean to search and think for themselves and believe everything the MSM is feeding them.
I was slowly getting back into watching the NFL but with their “entertainment” choices for this year’s Super Bowl I think I will just go deer hunting and just enjoy the last weekend day of the season.
I was a big football fan especially when I had quite a few friends playing in the NFL after college, now I’m more of a turn the Atlanta Braves game on and take a nap fan.
Sports were so much better back in the mid 80’s to 90’s when I was active, no political crap
I just find it entertaining. I'm no American so I'm not as invested as many. I can say this, it is never a dull moment with your current president. As the narrator said however, it was still not a good idea. I would have to imagine if Trump's PR guy has any sense whatsoever of how to do his job, he was cringing when the video appeared.
I would say further that one of the reasons that Trump is back in office is the Dems just couldn't be satisfied with retaking the WH. They kept Trump in the news every damn day after Biden was elected, a stupid mistake. They should've just let him fall by the way side and moved on. So should Trump even though he won't be back in office come January, 2029.
You don’t have to. They bring it up at every opportunity.Trolls are experts in all things. Just ask them.
The "Brimstone process" is, from what I'm reading, still in the experimental stage. A "pilot project" was scheduled to be finished in 2025 but I can't find anything indicating the results. The process involves chemical heap leaching and just the mention of "leach" sent environmental shivers down my spine.Oklahoma is set to host a new, major aluminum smelter by Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) in Inola, which will rely on a new domestic source of alumina from Brimstone's planned Oklahoma refinery, using abundant U.S. feedrocks instead of imported bauxite, securing a U.S. supply chain and reducing dependence on overseas mining. This project aims to double U.S. production and create a regional aluminum hub, with Brimstone's facility extracting alumina from common rocks, not tropical bauxite.
The New System:
Key Players:
- Alumina Source: Brimstone's planned refinery in Southwest Oklahoma will produce smelter-grade alumina from domestically abundant, carbon-free feedrocks, a significant shift from traditional bauxite reliance.
- Smelter Location: Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) will build the primary aluminum smelter at the Tulsa Port of Inola.
- Bauxite Alternative: This approach bypasses overseas bauxite, making the U.S. more self-sufficient in aluminum production.
Significance:
- Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA): Building the $4 billion smelter, a huge investment to boost U.S. capacity.
- Brimstone: Developing the innovative process and refinery to provide domestic alumina, a crucial step for the supply chain.
- Supply Chain Security: Creates a domestic end-to-end supply chain (mine-to-metal) for aluminum.
- Economic Boost: Expected to create thousands of jobs and foster a broader aluminum industry in Oklahoma.
- Clean Energy: Positions the U.S. for cleaner aluminum production, vital for sectors like wind turbines and solar panels.

Incredible ain’t it……It’s amazing that in addition to being an expert in policing and most other subjects, OH is also an expert in materials production and knows more than the company that’s actually building the plant.
Must be one hell of a doctorate.
I believe they’re leeching ore that’s already been quarried, or at least that’s how I read it, as opposed to in-situ leaching like Taesko has just started doing at their Florence copper mine in AZ.The "Brimstone process" is, from what I'm reading, still in the experimental stage. I am a mining historian with a PhD so I know something about how the industry works. It's always been 98% speculation and 2% production. Oh and yeah, I worked in an aluminum plant for six years.
If something sounds to good to be true it probably is. Turning ordinary "feedrock" (whatever that is) into aluminum sounds a bit fairy tale-ish to me. It is the fourth most common element in the earth's crust but also one of the most reactive. It grabs onto anything and everything and holds on tight. Breaking the bond and forcing/tricking it into binding with itself requires very special conditions and a LOT of energy. And I know this why? Because my first postgraduate work was in the sciences, primarily biology but also heavy loads in chemistry and physics. I don't know everything ... but I tried hard.![]()

Yeah, you and Ray Charles saw that one coming.“I am a mining historian with a PhD so I know something about how the industry works…
Oh and yeah, I worked in an aluminum plant for six years.”
Can someone pick up that phone?
Because I freaking called it.

Agreed. You have to take in several sources to get the truth. What I find frustrating is that the old main networks, ABC, CBS and NBC, stack their Sunday morning shows, such as “Meet the Press” with a host who argues every point with every Republican guest and often also spouts the last word in an interview of the Republican but hardly ever questions the answers she gets from Democrats. The show also has “round table” guests that are always a 3 to 1 ratio of three Democrats versus one Republican. I can hardly watch it anymore and my wife gets apoplectic if she watches the unfairness. In addition the “round table” usually includes former spokespeople from the Obama, Harris and Biden organizations who have never even been a real journalist. This is “Meet the Press”? Hardly. What a joke!Thank you for saying this 1000x better than I ever could have.
It’s amazing how two media sources can watch the same speech and have polar opposite reports on it. Like you said, everything is an opinion piece. And to go another step deeper, a lot of people are getting their news from people giving their opinion of an opinion piece (Thanks FB, X, TikTok, etc..)!
To be fair he has mentioned the aluminum plant in the past, not just pulling that card now“I am a mining historian with a PhD so I know something about how the industry works…

Oh please. Anytime you get big groups of people together for an exchange of ideas someone is going to come up with abad.idea. That does not make the entire group wrong. The Republicans are not perfect, but on the whole their side is far better than the desires of the Democrat party. The Left leans toward the dangerous. To put this into behavior of criminals which is something I know a lot about. Would you rather deal with an embezzler or a serial killer? Yes, both commit crimes, but those.crimes are.not equal. Neither party is perfect, but one side has made certain that I will not vote for them again. So how did you feel about Republican Senator Lee's amendment to the 2025 GOP policy bill which sought to sell or transfer massive amounts of Bureau of Land Management (BLM)? I’m pretty sure that wouldn’t have been great for hunting unless you like hunting in the parking lot of a strip mall.
Sure there are problems in the left’s house, but don’t think your house is clean either. Matthew 7:3-5 and Luke 6:41-42

So leeching at the mill/plant site is somehow more environmentally friendly? It would necessarily involve higher transportation costs than leaching at the quarry (which is why it's usually done at the site of extraction). Again, if you are correct, this process sounds even more fairy tale-ish.I believe they’re leeching ore that’s already been quarried, or at least that’s how I read it, as opposed to in-situ leaching like Taesko has just started doing at their Florence copper mine in AZ.
You see, to know quite a lot about what is a riot and what is a demonstration.Oh for crying out loud. The masked man that ran up to her car screaming at her wasn't slipping on the ice! Minneapolis salts their streets IN THE EXTREME. I saw no evidence that she was spinning her wheels. According to her ex-husband the woman just dropped her kid off at school. So these clowns were firing live rounds in a school zone? Definitely was a built up neighborhood. For what? A known felon? No. Just someone who was scared and panicked. A soccer mom who liked doing messy art with her kids and volunteering. Seems her real crime was being gay ... and don't think that isn't how this will play out.
Comparing her to that dingbat rioter shot climbing through a broken window of the Capitol is ridiculous! Just ridiculous. Shameful. That was a riot. As a policeman I'm not going to interview rioters to figure out if they are armed or not. Break down doors and I shoot you. Period! Then it's no longer a demonstration. Breaking and entering is a felony last time I looked. Felons in the act are subject to armed intervention. Assumption was the "demonstrators" meant to do physical harm. Which is exactly what they were chanting!! "Kill Pence." Another reason to fire away. This mom in Minneapolis just meant to get away. So let her get away. What's the big deal? Go to her house later and knock on the door. She's not going to rob a bank or break into the Capitol building in the meantime. Her rap sheet is a couple of parking fines. Hardly America's Most Wanted.
