Steve I would tend to agree. I'm no political scientist nor military expert so i don't know how it will work out.

But I do believe that Trump has had an awakening of some sort, especially after the assassination attempts.

If I was advising Trump, I'd say let them kill and further alienate the population while keeping the sanctions. This is a marathon not a sprint.

I think its quite simple, Trump made a bold statement that if the Iranian goverment started killing protesters en masse the US would intervene. Well, now they are doing just that...if he does nothing it will just make them do it more and now with a greater feeling of impunity.

I am a Texas republican who has held his nose and voted for Trump three different times. I am a fan of John Cornyn. The intellectuals in the MAGA movement seem to hate him, I assume because he actually knows how to get things done in Congress as opposed to simply shouting platitudes. But their lack of enthusiasm is a potential issue in November. The good senator has to be on his knees thanking God for his opponent this year.

Seems to me it wasnt all that long ago that Iran was calling for the death of America and Israel. Isnt Iran supporting trade with Russia? Just trying to understand why we owe Iran anything.

The Iranian government supports those things. A new government may not.

Regime change is a risky game but it’s hard to imagine a new government being as anti-America as the current one. It’s sort of their raison d'être.

I'm more worried about Talarico than Crockett, should the democrats come to their senses during the primaries. He has considerable support in my area.
