One should not interfere in the internal politics of another country, I agree.
Apart from the fact that in the end we in AH are constantly dealing with African affairs, aren't we?
But let me tell you, when the most powerful man in the free world sets policy, the world notices much faster than you in your desert in Arizona.
Besides, it's called the www. world wide net. and so everyone is invited to express their opinion and if you don't like it, why don't you open your own homepage?
After all, nobody criticizes you even though this is a forum about Africa hunting and you have contributed absolutely nothing about Africa, but you still seem to feel very comfortable here.

This kind of thing really grinds my gears.

Natives hunting caribou herds to extinction with snowmobiles and 338s, whale and seal hunting with rifles and dinghy, all in the name of "traditional hunting rights".

If they're going to hunt out of season with no limits or oversight, the traditional part should be forced by law.

Try looking out your front window every night and watching them fish lobsters all of the summer months on the breeding grounds. For “ceremonial” purposes … just so happens ceremonial purposes cost 30 dollars a dozen in the liquor store parking lot.

Yes happens a lot here in Nova Scotia , like the fact that the natives got the right to self police there moose hunt and then decimated the population to the point of it being closed to all hunting. High seats mounted in the bed of half tons and gas powered capstin winches were the ceremonial practices used in that case.

Congratulations on Canada's new prime minister. I'm sure he'll do a fine job in sinking Canada further into the abyss of liberal dystopia.

In Canadian news ford to impose 25% tariffs on electricity in 3 states with Quebec Manitoba and British Columbia passing bills to do the same in there legislatures. Ford also threatened to shut power off completely. Manitoba joining provinces to remove American alcohol from store shelves joining Ontario New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

Carney met with Trudeau for two hours today with talk of a snap election call on ctv news.

I remember on that Ontario moose hunt the guide was “First Nations” and was complaining about how there were less moose around.

Then he starts to complain about how they were not allowed to shoot moose calves anymore.

I asked if he wanted more moose around why he would go around shooting the calves…

“It’s 300lbs of the best eating on earth, f@$k’um if they can’t take a joke ehh!”

On one side of the border, if the other imposes tariffs, I personally can make the decision to purchase or not purchase.

On the other side of the border, if the other imposes tariffs, the Province makes that decision for me.

Heck, I'll take "Congress shall make no laws restricting..." over "... guarantees the rights and freedoms... of thought, belief, opinion, and expression..." any day.

The provinces owns the liquor and distribution outlets so they decide what is shelved. The sale of alcohol is provincially controlled in Canada. Parts of the territories are still dry at least at community levels.

Numerous states control the retail sale of spirits and in some cases wine. Those states are regularly deciding what is available to consumers in their state.
