Here‘s my April 4th 2023 prediction of the 2024 Presidential election.

Biden will seek and win the Democratic nomination. Democrats are better at preventing firebrands from winning their nomination. Bernie Sanders is such a firebrand. Bidden is their man.

Trump will win the Republican nomination. The indictment makes this a near certainty. It’s a case with no chance of a conviction and makes Trump a martyr. Plus, in a 3 person primary (yes I’m counting Desantis as in the race with more candidates almost certainly going to jump in) Trump will have the most votes and capture the nomination.

I fear in a head-to-head race, Biden wins. Too many Republicans have reached the point that they’d rather have 4 more years of Biden and stay home on election night. All Biden must do is keep breathing.

You can blame Biden for this, not the Saudis. Coming into office he referred to and treated the Saudi Government as a "pariah state." His visit there was a diplomatic disaster. Then, he floods the market with our petroleum reserve with immediate adverse effects on Saudi budget planning. To add insult to injury, the administration has refused to begin buying back that oil supply after signaling to OPEC that it would. This is purely a retaliatory action by OPEC - just in time for Americans to notice during the summer vacation period.

Add to that list….Biden continues to push for a treaty with the Iranians. Mortal enemies to the Saudi kingdom. Madness.

Also, the charges seem to take place in 2017. Trump had resigned all positions within the Trump organization to be POTUS. Authority was given to Eric, the board and the officers. The Trump organization paid Cohen. How can a person be guilty of covering up a crime if they are not in a position of authority to cover up the crime?

I don't purport to have a legal mind, but my mind IS better than Brandon's at least for now. The way I understand it, the two "hush money" payments were made to the former porn star and Playboy bunny in 2016 BEFORE the Presidential election. Paying hush money isn't illegal. It's only if Trump used campaign finances for the payments. The DOJ and FEC had already dismissed any irregularities and now here we are. Take a look at the trial of former NC Democrat Senator John Edwards for virtually the same issues and who was acquitted. This persecution of Trump continues unabated and is nothing more than a political stunt by Fat Alvin and his Marxist Democrat supporters. Even former NY Governor Cuomo (no friend of Trump) stated this prosecution of Trump for these charges is a farce.

Apparently, in New York, they will have to serve a “Bill of Particulars” outlining the alleged underlying crime.

Normally, but apparently in NY you don’t have to do that. But the DA then has to submit a Bill of Particulars, as the defendant is entitled to know what he is actually accused of.

If the support / non-support for Trump in this thread is a snapshot of how the vote is going to go then Trump has just secured 4 more years for the Democrats by splitting the vote or ensuring a sizeable portion will not vote or will vote for the poodle next door.

DeSantis was your man. Very nearly Trump in all but name and lack of decorum. He was discarded and it's going to cost you all (and by extension it's going to cost us all).
