Oz didn’t lose because Trump endorsed him. He lost because he is a back-bencher with no message to compel anyone other than Trump supporters to vote for him. Trump‘s endorsement and the benefit of that endorsement in terms of MAGA votes didn’t sway the independent vote. Neither Republicans nor Democrats can win without them.
Oz lost because was in the eyes of PA voters, a carpetbagger. PA voters looked at Fetterneck and said, "sure, he's a moron, but he is OUR moron".

I wonder how the great and powerful OZ feels about being considered the lesser of two evils to Igor the Carhartt model. That’s gonna take more than a little Oprah therapy I’d think. :A Blink:

Kelley wins and Laxalt hanging on by the thinnest of threads (less than a thousand votes). If Laxalt loses then Walker doesn't really matter.

Walker still matters since that seat is for 6 years. I'm guessing we are going to be continually looking at a 1 seat or 2 seat swing for the next couple of elections.

83% and called for Kelley. That maybe true, but not certain.

Good leadership and sound policies will win the independents and some fringe democrats. The black and Latino block are more in tune wth conservative views and need to be brought more on side. illegal immigrants are in and the democrats assume they will bolster their voting block in the future, but if they were to become a voting block they need to be brought on side too. Box smart of forever lose.

Well we know that the senile old man in the White House does things with a purpose. The open border is no accident or something he just forgot about. Its purposeful and intentional.

Perhaps as many as 5 million illegals have crossed over and been scattered around the country since Biteme took office.
Now they are looking to fire the Border Patrol Chief and throw him under the bus in hopes that folks will think Joe is going to rein in the border. Its just BS, the CBP boss takes his orders from the HS moron Mayorkas who takes his orders from Joe Biteme.
The current BP chief is not highly regarded but he is just following orders.
Probably in the next two years Joe will try to declare amnesty for those 5 million illegals, followed up with voting rights that only allows voting for demonrats.

So Rep

So Republicans must steal a march and do it first. Distasteful? How do you like the taste of perpetually losing?

Finally found a wonderful Solzhenitsyn quote that I had been searching for since the near conclusion of the mid-terms. In his case, it was directed at the Soviet system, but is applicable to politicians and their loyal unquestioning supporters everywhere.

“We know they are lying, they know they are lying, they know we know they are lying, we know they know we know they are lying, but they are still lying.”

I should note that part of critical thinking is the realization that this also potentially applies to everyone to whom we may not hold to the same standards as our opponents.

It would be interesting to know just how much the Supreme Courts decision to overturn Roe v Wade helped the democrats this election. I would guess it helped them immensely.

It did. I was yelled at by some old lady, who did not have to worry about getting pregnant. She claims Republicans want to turn women into property just like the Middle East. I ask her if she was concerned about public safety and she said yes, but it was more important to vote to protect women.

The polls I was seeing showed 31% viewed the economy as the most important issue and abortion rights at 27%. Everything else was in the mid- low teens. I wouldn't have thought that, but there you go. If those percentages pertained to independent voters, the red wave became a red tide going out. Too bad, because with record inflation, skyrocketing interest rates, and a brain dead President, it SHOULD have been a Republican tsunami.

If that was the cost for overturning Roe v Wade then it was worth it in my opinion. In order to have Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, then you have to have life first.

Not entirely lost to us. I would simply again note DeSantis carried Florida by almost twenty points. He carried every major voting block except African Americans and did well with them. He even carried suburban women. He was opposed by every major newspaper in the state, and yet he carried Miami Dade. His message was on point, his accomplishments are real, and he handles the media superbly. He did it in spite of Trump resorting to calling him names. He also won't be nearly eighty years old in '24.

It was purposely leaked at the time it was to get the dems stirred up enough that no matter what else happened they’re still vote for dems. The most important issue on the left is having the right for a mother to murder her child. Not the economy, not border security, not crime, only the right to murder their child.
They are already prepping uncle fester for a 2024 run at the White House……

Well, I didn’t think so.

A new voting system was ushered into place in a few critical states in 2020. This included things like drop boxes, mass mailout of ballots to targeted groups and ballot harvesting. The Democrats planned and implemented this extremely well, including countless lawsuits with settlements in key states. In 2022, the Democrats continue to tweak the system while Republican's only react. Any time it takes more than one day to count the votes, the table has been set up for surprises.

The voting system has changed. Republican's will either have to change the system back to voting on election day only.(Impossible where they don't control the legislature and governor) or jump in and do what the Democrats are doing, but out perform them.

Marc Elias is the most influential Democrat in America today and way less than 1% of American's know who he is or what he has done.

Nov. 12: Laxalt’s Lead in Nevada Senate Race now down to 862 Votes

Quote from Newt Gingrich, Nov. 10:

“I worry about how the Nevada count is coming because they have a propensity to steal the votes if they can, so that has a certain amount of concern for me.”

“The places where Laxalt is doing really well tend to have already voted, and the places where she [Mastro] has done pretty well tend to have a huge number of votes outstanding. So you sort of have to wonder exactly what’s going on.”

I believe Newt is the only establishment Republican willing to stick his toe into that lava. He’s old and comfortable, but still an effective weapon if properly motivated.

Since the Bush/Gore debacle, Florida has continually improved their election systems. They locked horns with Eric Holder’s DOJ but didn’t back down. They made further improvements after every election, based on problems that the rest of the country was experiencing.

Everyone seems eager to follow a winner like DeSantis. Why not follow a winner like Florida? That’s the path to fair elections. Unfortunately, the money in politics is not invested in fairness. It is invested in control.

Good morning from Montana.

I'm looking at a post from 2018 where you were looking for a lefty Winchester in .375 H&H Magnum. I'm selling mine. My email is [redacted] in the event that you're still searching for a unicorn.

Best,

Kelly Palmer
