the news reports that I get appear to be involving two issues and the talking heads appear to be so biased that they are confusing the two. One Visa involves the ability of the local government to have information on the person emigrating. This issue is anti-terrorist prevention. the other involves the disease issue and involves denying entrance to citizens of foreign countries and are coming from infected areas. It would be nice if the news reporters would actually do their job and report the news rather than the employers political opinions.

I think this is much speculation... only time will tell if this was a good move by the UK.. if they manage to negotiate positive trade agreements with the US and the EU, they well may prove that being separate from the EU is better for their economy and their people.. if that occurs, and the UK finds itself more prosperous over the next few year.. I would imagine other EU nations might take note of this and begin campaigning to leave..

My guess is, assuming Trump gets another 4 years as POTUS, is that the UK will get a better trade deal with the US than the EU.. If that occurs, the UK will be on its way to proving being independent is better for them..

At the end of the day, the will of the people is far more important than the will of the politicians.. the majority of the people in the UK wanted to leave.. they think they are better off without the EU.. only time will tell if they were right or not.. or if their politicians can do the job(s) they were put into office to do..

So I have a group of friends on a social media platform called discord (I'd love to make an AH discord for y'all one day) and even as people who are fairly economically left, they abhor the Democrats, seeing then as stodgy bureaucrats who give negative shits about their voter base aside from the kind of superficial pandering similar to a corporation slapping a rainbow on something only after homosexuality was legal in all 50 states. And tbh, I agree wholeheartedly. I like to pick policies from both liberal and conservative groups such as gun rights, bringing manufacturing here to give lower income people a steady job, and making sure the environment is well kept and restored. But the Democrats merely want to appease focus groups. Republicans ain't no better at this, but I'm not in the mood to get crucified today.

The only reason I really remember the day Trump got elected was because the announcement fell on my 21st birthday. I remember going to college and there was one guy raving and ranting then most of us were just uncertain about how the whole thing was gonna unfold. Then for dinner, my family and I went out for hand pulled noodles. Of course, Trump was still a big talking point but I was mostly focused on my lamb cumin noodles.

Hanlon's Razor notwithstanding, I'm of the opinion that they were caught quite by surprise with the real results and were trying to figure out what they wanted the final count to look like.
