I think you are referring to something else but like I wrote. The greenlanders has a voice too to be listen to. Can you understand this?.
What ive seen and heard. Js basically everyone losing their collective shit over getting trolled for weak defence
Us prolly getting a gitmo type naval base out of it. But trump cant invade without aproval of congress.

If congress says were going to war over greenland. Honestly their voice doesnt matter.

Not sure why everyone thinks their voice matters.
Boomers are the worst about it. And sadly there the only non commital group standing in the way of progress on either side of the political spectrum. Its going to get progressivly worse as they age out. The knives are being sharpened and everyones picking a side.

If astute in their negotiations, there is no reason they couldn’t get the same status as Puerto Rico. As I said above, I suspect a deal could be negotiated that would be life changing economically for all Greenlanders.

I think @RedLeg hit the nail on the head. Rational thinking is not in play here.
I dont think its about rational or not. Because we werr never going to invade greenland without congress giving greenlight.

When Trump spews absolute nonsense like this with respect to the sacrifice NATO troops made in Afghanistan it makes me sick to my stomach. This isn't clever trolling - it is ignorant disrespect. Nearly 500 British troops were killed and more than 2000 were wounded supposedly hiding "behind the front lines." British KIA represented almost 5% of their deployed forces while the approximately 2300 US KIA represented 2.3% of US deployed strength. In other words, deployed British forces were roughly 12% more likely to be KIA than their American counterparts. Trump shames everyone who served there with this ugly sort of stupidity.

He just keeps spewing nonsense, I wonder if there is some method to his "madness" on this matter, perhaps he simply wants the news to be dominated by his anti-nato rethoric in order to keep media from bringing up the Epstein files-story again?

ummm.. the inuits in Alaska have not been treated poorly in a very, very long time..

research Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) 8a...

look at the subsidies they get through the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act...

look at Federal BIA services provided specifically to only Inuit tribes..

look at the Permanent Dividend Fund

the list of both state and federal subsidies provided is EXTENSIVE... and the access the tribes have to federal dollars through various business programs, funds, etc is crazy...

The Chenga Corporation (alaska native corporation) pulled in 1.3B dollars last year.. the overwhelming majority of that work was "direct award", meaning it didnt have to compete for it.. it was just given to them by the federal government.. Alutiq (another ANC) pulled in $830M)... Bowhead (another ANC) got $425M... Artic Slope got $3.7B... Bristol Bay Native got $1.7B... Nana Regional got $1.6B...

There are 182 registered ANC's.. the overwhelming majority will do more than $100M in business this year.. and the overwhelming majority of that business is given to them directly by the federal government.. they dont compete for it...

The US Government flows tons and tons and tons of money into the US inuit tribes.. they are better taken care of than pretty much anyone in the US.. and have been for a very long time..

ANC......mmm....so who is copying who in the ANC stakes corruption wise?.....dont tell me SA is better than the usa at something.... :E Rofl:

The study you’re referring to is an observational study and not a random controlled trial and can make no definitive statement as to causality or lack there of. Admittedly, a true study with randomized control groups would present certain feasibility and ethical issues. The point of my post was not that there is or isn’t a causal link between Tylenol and autism, rather it was that there is enough correlation that in my experience no less than 3 different medial professions spanning a decade have independently advised against the use do Tylenol while pregnant, long before any politician had anything to say about it. And, the only reason anyone questions it now is because they don’t like who said it. Having seen many of your previous posts it weird to see you defending large pharmaceutical companies
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is not a "large pharmaceutical company." It's easy enough to find scores of other reputable sources on the net debunking Trump's autism theory. The key quantification for taking Tylenol while pregnant is always "take as directed" by a physician, presumably to control fever, not for headache, sore joints, etc. Any foreign chemicals in the system during pregnancy have a potential to disrupt embryonic development (e.g alcohol, nicotine). But fever substantially increases the risk to mother and fetus.

I don't have an axe to grind with pharmaceutical companies who make drugs that save people's lives (including mine). It's how they choose to market those drugs that I don't like. And I don't fault them and the scientific community for debunking crazy conspiracy theories. As much about protecting people's health as protecting the companies' image.

Please provide the literature sources confirming "3 different medial (medical?) professions spanning a decade [that] have independently advised against the use of Tylenol while pregnant" because of a "correlation" to autism. I have searched and can't find anything like that. Autism (the condition not the label) was around long before Tylenol. We all know that. And yes, reported cases of autism have increased in recent years ... because the diagnosis criteria is evolving and broadening the definition, i.e. increasing the number of patients who will be labeled autistic. Diagnostic tools have also evolved (e.g. genetic testing). Useless to tell those explanations to Trump and RFK Jr. They can't understand anything science based. Or rather they simply refuse to acknowledge it.

The show Trump put on to make his earth shattering autism cure announcement clearly shows his true objective. "Everyone tune in this afternoon when I will reveal what causes Tylenol. It's a great discovery." Or something to that effect (with Trump everything is either "great" or "very bad"). Being the father and grandfather of autistic kids of course I had to tune in (generally I can't stomach listening to Trump's childish articulation). Wow! Tylenol causes autism? Really? :D :D! Guess I shouldn't have been so surprised. He thought swallowing disinfectant or UV rays might cure COVID. Anyway, the whole silly Tylenol show was just another flashy attempt by Trump to make himself great ... in a hurry. "Step right up, folks and see the greatest president that ever was." [carnival music plays].

I honestly never had a clue about all this generation crap...ie boomer..gen x or whatever it is ..millennial...until a chart popped up showing it I couldn't have given a shit about it....but as apparently I am a boomer I found out and it's an issue for you ,and some others from the insults put forward sometimes on here regarding them/us......all I can say is your confusing me with someone that gives a fk....oh and I can most likely still out drink you...out party you and out....whatever you :D Beers:

I am a little curious on Denmark’s position on Greenland. They find themselves in a tremendous negotiating position with the most influential person on the planet. They could change the future of their country dramatically with preferential trade deals, cash infusion, trailing royalties, strengthened military alliances, etc.. At the same time, they could negotiate life changing payoffs to every man, woman and child in Greenland. Do they really love that frozen island that much?
I guess for some folks there are more important things than money. I don't expect most Americans to grasp that kind of thinking. But let me put it another way. Would you take a million bucks to sing the Russian anthem at NFL games for the rest of your life? Hmmm.

Greenlanders live in communities that still are communities. They can hunt and fish right out the back door. They're not getting overrun by foreign invader mining companies and real estate developers. They like what they have and don't want to see it change ... like Western Montana changed in just my lifetime. Good for them. They know what they have is priceless. Leave them alone as much as possible. They don't have to change their nationality or culture for America to take security measures. At least let them control how they change. They deserve that. This has never been about national security. It's been about the Trump show.

I had to laugh when Gutfeld on Fox made a funny remark about how Trump said that if not for the USA that Europeans would all be speaking German and Japanese. Gutfeld said, “Which really pissed off the French once they had it translated into Arabic.” :E Big Grin:

Quite funny on the same topic

Its not an insult or issue per say. But as a demographic pattern and generstional mentality its accurate. Just like saying most women in usa are 4th wave feminists is accurate.
Not having the ability to control yourself is Nothing impressive. And you should probably seek help for substance abuse.

Who cares how much you can drink. Your generations hedonism is gross. Go party with your boy Epstien. Drink each other under the table and party like its 1999

And yall have spend decades ruining the country. You should care because the younger generations do

And the Czechs. And didn't the Canadian's assign a bunch of excellent snipers to our Marine Expeditionary Forces over there too?

It is ignorant disrespect but seems to be generating results. Good/bad view dependant.
And yes canada has some good shooters/soldiers

Except: Walle hes just a fraud.

I think what your seeing is a more nationalist centric paradigm re emerging vs the globalism one currently in full force.

It's hard to believe that such statements come from a head of state.
From someone who dodged military service in Vietnam with heel spurs...
The serious insults he hurled in Davos, including against the host country Switzerland, the way he mimicked the president when she was trying to negotiate lower tariffs, against Canada, against France, etc.
By the way: the French are a proud people, and these insults against Macron will not be forgotten, even if Macron is no longer in office, as is likely.
Today, a French banker told me that France is seriously considering selling US bonds, and they don't care what retaliatory measures he will then take.
If France does that, it's only about 3%, but it will start a downward spiral, like pulling the plug on a bathtub. Europe holds a total of 20%, with the Chinese probably holding the rest.
Then the lights will go out for you.
No one can seriously want that.
On either side of the ocean.

Yeah, it really seems like Trump is set on severing the transatlantic link for good this time.

I really like the french. They have a good view on living life

I see in the breaking news that Trump just withdrew his invitation for Canada to join his Board of Peace club. Oh, boo hoo! Just saved Carney the trouble of rejecting it (he had been "officially" sitting on the fence waiting for more details). And saved us $1B membership fee. Here's Trump's letter to Carney revoking the invitation. "Dear Prime Minister Carney: Please let this Letter serve to represent that the Board of Peace is withdrawing its invitation to you regarding Canada’s joining, what will be, the most prestigious Board of Leaders ever assembled, at any time."

Someone get that guy a cape and a phone booth. Har, har. Brother! Can anyone tell me who is the "prestigious leader" of Macedonia?

I'm sure Carney is terribly upset. Probably won't sleep a wink tonight. :D
