Welcome to Mbalabala Safaris
For a unique and real Zimbabwean Hunting experience
Zimbabwe Hunting Safaris

Concessions include 2 family properties. Other hunting is sourced from a number of privately owned game and cattle ranches in the south western districts of Matabeleland South. Leopard and Plains Game are the major attractions of our safaris. The list of available animals can be found on our Enquiry Form. Clients are accommodated in the Farm Homestead (Limerick) and at a reed and tented camp on the banks of a farm dam (Mashura).

Recently Mbalabala Safaris has secured the hunting rights for the Hwange Communal Land which covers Matetsi, Hwange Communal Land and surrounding areas thus adding Elephant, Hippo and Crocodile to our list of available animals. We also have access to hunt in the Marula District which is renowned for its big leopard. We have access to hunt Buffalo in the Matetsi areas.

Mbalabala Safaris has been hunting in Zimbabwe since 1987 and in that time we have built a good reputation for big game trophies. We only hunt in the best areas in Zimbabwe to ensure you have the best possible hunt.

About Mbalabala Safaris

Begun by Charlie and Pam Stanton, over 20 years ago, Mbalabala Safaris offers a unique hunting experience in the southern part of Zimbabwe. The hunting season takes place during the winter months, between April and October, when the bush is sparse, water scarce and the game is in perfect condition. Lindon ( Charlie and Pam’s youngest son) is now a director in the company and is starting to take over the reigns.

Limerick in Mbalabala, the family’s home since 1945, and Mashura, in the West Nicholson area, belonging to Lindon Stanton (Snr.), Charlie’s older brother.

Lindon Stanton

Lindon is the couple’s younger son who followed family tradition and joined Matt and Charlie in 2000.Lin is now a qualified PH and enjoys the thrill of the Leopard hunt as well as the heart pounding excitement of Buffalo and Elephant hunting.

Marthinus Kok

Marthinus ( Tinie) Kok is a long time friend of Lindon’s and also a member of Into The Jesse hunting blog. Tinie started off his safari career whilst accompanying his uncle Doug Kok during his free time where he developed a deep seeded passion for the African Bush. From there Tinie went under the tutorship of a few of the legendary PH’s of Zimbabwe

Tinie’s passion lies in elephant hunting as he says “there is nothing better than getting amongst these grey giants” Tinie also guides photographic and fishing safaris.

Pierre Hundermark

Having grown up in the Midlands on a game farm, Pierre’s passion for the African bush was a inherent to him as walking. He always knew he wanted to work with wildlife. He qualified as a professional hunter in 2005 and since then has been guiding clients throughout Zimbabwe helping them to fulfil their African Hunting dreams. Pierre has recently joined our Mbalabala Safaris team and is a founding member of the “Into the Jesse’ hunting blog. Pierre’s has no favourite species to hunt, he loves to hunt them all.

Hi Ridgewalker
I assume you from the states ? To fly into my areas you would fly into Johannesburg international airport then a short connecting flight to either Victoria falls or bulawayo Where you will be collected by myself or one of my prohunters.

Hi Bob, how's things going in Wyong?. Down your way a couple of years back but haven't been in NSW since Ebor for the fishing. just getting over some nasty storms up here in Qld, seeing the sun for the first time in a few days. I'm going to NZ in the spring and hope to clean up a few buns while there and perhaps shake the spiders out of my old .303LE (currently owned by my BIL). Cheers Brian

Heard you may have load data for the 500 Jeffery,.....any info would be appreciated. Was thinking 535gr, but already had a response that the 570gr would be a better way to go, not sure why.
