I read another story. The wife of one guy - a rather beautiful woman-for some reason was very fond of cheap trinkets and constantly bought them. He argued with her that fake jewelry didn't suit her, but she said she had her own style. And then one day she died unexpectedly - fleeting pneumonia. The guy grieved, then collected her things and went to the jeweler to get rid of the sad memories and at least help out a little. It turned out that the diamonds were real.
