New Westley Richards 470NE on order, who wants to hear about it?

MAGNIFICENT!

I'd been wondering how this has been progressing.

Thank you for a very healthy dose of some of the finest eye candy of 2025.

Well done to the elves.

Love the detail that you have specified and has been perfectly executed.

Keats was right.

Another of his lines that might sum up your excitment and anticipation during the 'patience' phase could be 'Nothing ever becomes real till it is experienced' ;)

Gorgeous, well there goes another keyboard ruined by drooling on it.

Such a beautiful rifle! Regulated for GRN bullets. What are those?
Assuming they’ve not regulated it yet and as such haven’t confirmed what Grain bullet she’ll be using and as such will engrave that on after ??
Having said that are there that many bullet weights to choose for a 470?

They normally regulate with Hornady ammo since that's what they can get off the shelf over there.

But that wasn't really my preference, so after some back and forth about logistics, Trigger agreed to regulate it with North Fork 500gr Semi Spitzers and Solids which he will have custom loaded and will pressure test in the Proof House in Birmingham.
I think 500 GRN is the only weight I've ever seen for 470NE. I suppose at this level one could have a custom bullet of any weight made.

That should prove a joy forever. Well, maybe outside the first few bumps and bruises, but just signs of memories thereafter. Using it on elephant in the Omay? Johnny showed me some of the photos from your safari and angles for pics on hippo while we were in camp last month.

Such a stud buffalo you took.

Excited to see what you do with this gorgeous double.

Wow, perfect amount of engraving, just wow! And the stock....again wow!!

They just left it blank until regulation is completed LOL.

"Go Right Now?"

"Guns R Nice?"

"Gentlemanly Rifle Nerd?"

"Guns, Rifles, Naps?"

"Guaranteed Rhino Near?"

"Greatly Reduced Noise?"

"Gun Rack Necessity?"

"Go Reload Now?"

"Guides Rarely Negotiable?"

Incredible, thanks for sharing !! A question, being I am unfamiliar with WR doubles, does the top lever move rearwards as it is pushed to the right to open the action ?

I would have said that if it didn't regulate with GRN bullets that he could borrow my Dremel tool to fix it, but that would be tacky, so I won't.
I assume GRN is green--meaning non-lead?

It is a pity WR aren’t making boxlocks anymore after this 470NE . I have a Rigby 500NE on order but that WR product is far superior . Same comments apply to the bolt actions .

Sir, I think I have been writing to you about the purchase of the HK 639 rifle under an email "Tt Jake." If this is you, then I am truly interested. I am just trying to verify identify. Tt Jake is asking for a cash transaction. No disrespect intended, Just trying to verify who I am talking to. Thank you. Respectfully. Dan

Hey my friend, I am returning to SA for a Cape Buffalo hunt in June 26. My outfitter has suggested Highveld but I have read some poor reports. Wondering how satisfied you were with your mounts from them? Thanks in advance.
Finally back to somewhat normal I missed reading the messages and posts
