patsy is going to auction this confiscated poachers canoe ,which has been turned into a book case here. the auction will take place at the River Lure fishing comp on the Kafue which starts on friday. she will wait till the end of comp festivities when people are well lubricated and more generous :D. the money raised we will use for funding our anti poaching on the river.

WOW! I like it. Very good reuse of material. What did you make out of the poacher?

unfortunately it seems if you harm a hair on their head these days in this country you are the one who will end up in the shit big time...........:(

I like the concept and the bookshelf! I'd bid on that if I was there.

Looks cool! Best of luck

That's a great example of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Good job Patsy.
Hope someone can make good use of it and provide some funds to try and control the poachers.

Dead men tell no tales

Beautiful piece of furniture.
Forgive me for being blunt, but it should've been turned into a dam coffin. (And it would have taken less time.

Spoken by a man who knows wood working!

poacher bound books???

Beautiful piece of work and I agree, a very novel re use of materials. I hear poachers make high quality organic fertilizer as well.

hi all - i raffled this off at the fishing comp and got good support - funds will go directly to protecting the river - guys are using mozzie nets for fishing these days so you can all imagine how this is effecting the river

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
