Been a lurker for ages and finally bit the bullet and joined!

I’m from Sweden and have been hunting and shooting for 30 years or so.

I collect Sako rifles and, as my handle states, also have a thing for early Blaser firearms, British rook rifles and other British and German break-open style firearms and much more.

Been to a few African countries but never for hunting, only work.

Hopefully that will change in a not so distant future.

Anyways, thanks for having me, I will try to add to the discussions!

Wish you all the best!

Jim

Welcome! K77's are cool, they have a big cult following here in Germany and I think more so in Austria.

Welcome. Where in Sweden are you located?

Thank You very much!

I had one in .30R Blaser which I stupidly sold many years ago. One of the few firearms I really really regret selling!

But I will get another one soon, I keep searching all the marketplaces across Europe on a daily basis and they come up for sale quite often.

For now, or soon at least, I will enjoy a SR830 in .30-06 which I closed a deal on a day ago. Only shot maybe 20 rounds and still with original owner and a great price so just had to have it.

Will post pics when I have it home.

So now the search is on for new side plates, more barrels and magazines plus mounts and other SR paraphernalia.

Plus more catalogs, manuals, broschures and other written material.

Hard to find in Sweden!

All the best!

Jim

They are regularly on www.egun.de. I hunted in Hungary last year, and one of the guys in camp had an 8x75R K77. I got out bid a few months ago on a 10,3x60R for 2000 Euros, I would have gave that but I forgot about it trying to get it cheap.

Good day! Welcome from our side too!

When I saw a post saying "new swede here" I clicked it thinking someone was going to show off a nice 6.5x55 they bought!

Welcome to the forum, and I hope you have a 6.5x55!

Thanks a lot!

Those are two calibers I really would enjoy having in a Kipplauf or Bergstutzen (8x75RS) or even a Bockdrilling!

I don’t hunt in Graubunden, but I want to, but the 10,3x60R is such a cool cartridge I got to have it at some point!

And 2000€ sounded like a good price! But who knows where it would have ended if you started to bid?

But we’ll see? Such big changes are coming here in Sweden about gun legislation so maybe it’s not possible to own fun guns any longer? But that’s a topic
for another post.

I don't hunt in Graubunden either, but I own two 10,3x68 RWS barrels. I am trying to find a 10,3x60R single shot of some sort soon.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
