New requirements for RSA Entry after Travel Ban

+1. I have no plans for a Safari this year anyway, due to vacation plans elsewhere. But this testing nonsense changing daily, weekly, if there’s a full moon or not, etc., has reinforced my decision. But my employer’s policy states if you go to a Covid “hot spot” in the US or anywhere else, you have to quarantine at home burning YOUR sick time for 14 days and getting tested. I’ve had the Covid virus and plan on getting the vaccine eventually, but the “adventure” of Covid 19 traveling with testing/quarantines is more FUN than I can handle at this point in time.

so does anyone know do you need another covid test here in sa before you fly back to US??

Yes you will need a PCR test for entry. My outfitter has a nurse on location that does the tests for our returning flight in mid June. We depart from Texas to RSA on May 27th. Hope this helps! Check with your outfitter for testing arrangements. I’m using Huntershill Safaris.
