Hello, 1st post here, been reading for several months and it appears to contain a wealth of information. I am going to my 1st SCI in a couple weeks and was wondering if a person could get a pretty good feel of things in 2 days? Anything i definitely "dont want to miss"? Im trying to figure out best way to budget my time.

Thanks and I look forward to taking in all the information and knowledge contained by the members here.

Welcome aboard.

Welcome to AH! 2 days to cover is the SCI convention is pretty challenging. I would add one more day if possible. If not, then go to the SCI website and find the list of exhibitors and make a plan for how to cover them.

Welcome to AH! You can cover all exhibitors in one day if your just browsing, but if you have any hunting intentions, you definitely will need several. You have many outfitters who offer the same things, but only after talking with them can you make your decision. You'll also come across hunts in countries you never considered and all of a sudden .........bingo!

:S Welcome:

Never done SCI, but I have done DSC. 2 days should be fine if they are at all similar. If there is a Craig Boddington buffalo lecture, you gotta do it. Any meet ups from online communities or with PHs are the best part in my opinion. It’s nice talking with people about their experiences with hunts you want to pursue, but from my perspective most of the booths at shows are for people with more money than I’ll see in a decade

Good day! Welcome!

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
