Hello all. My name is Ken. My lovely wife just purchased (lay away) me a new Winchester 70 SE in 375 H&H and a 3 day safari to go along with it (Kuche). I have hunted my entire life and have longed for the day I could experience the dream called Africa! now it can finally happen!

So, with that said, I figured it would be wise to join Africa Hunting forum so I could go ahead and start gathering valuable information and advice from those who have been there and have the experience to offer sound advice to a newbie. As well as enjoying conversations of hunting.

Thank you all, and I hope you have a great one!

Hi Ken! Sounds like you have a great wife. Very exciting to plan your first safari. What are the main trophies you would like to bring home?

Welcome to the forum I've barely been here a couple weeks but the wealth of info and willingness of everyone to help is outstanding

Hello all! Thank you for the warm welcome! I heard you were a great group!! I am looking forward to many fine conversations with you folks!

FireBird, Thank you, I am a lucky man! The safari comes with 3 days and 3 trophies; Impala, Warthog, and Blesbuck. I would love to add Zebra, and Gemsbuck. I have several others in mind if I can save for the fees.

Welcome to AH, Ken! You will have a great time with Kuche! I have a good buddy that also bought a rifle that came with a hunt from from them and he had an awesome time.

Like others have said, add more days(and animals) if at all possible! That's a long way to go for 3 days!!

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
